I always go to sally’s to buy my hair products and dye , I've been doing my own hair for years and buying “ professional “ products at Sally's with no issue for two years , this time around the cashier ( who has sold me these products no issues in the past ) told me she cant sell them to me because im not a professional , when i informed her that ive used them before and know what im doing she gave me an attitude . Don't understand why shes been selling to me before if she wont now . Im not against not being able to buy professional products but its extremely frustrating when all of a sudden what wasnt an issue in the past is now . Ill only be shopping at ulta beauty from now on .

Kristen (I hope I spelled her name right) was so nice! She was super fast, friendly, and very helpful with giving me information I needed. In the past I've had some problems with employees (and the manager even) so I'm really glad to know there are some super helpful employees here now.

I used to work here for a few months and frankly I didn't even wanna write a review after I left but my mom finally convinced me and others need to see this so that way they don't end up working here. I had applied to be a beauty advisor but after a month, I was doing stuff I didn't sign up to do. Because so many people had left in a short amount of time (hmmm I wonder why), we were very understaffed. I had to handle the money deposits, work twice as many hours, and do janitorial work. My main problem was the manager, Tonya Smith. I've never met anyone with such a terrible and disgusting attitude. Every time I asked to get time off for A FREAKING DOCTOR APPOINTMENT, she got an attitude. I remember making a very small mistake when I first started, and she was hostile with me. One day, I was putting hair care products away and Tonya stood there with a mean look and said I was trying to fight her. This really pissed me off, but I just shrugged it off. I was always trying to be nice with her, but at the end of the day, I never knew what would set her off. Before I decided to quit, I had to have surgery on the 31st of July and I told Tonya a week in advance that I needed that day off. She immediately got hostile and yelled at me. It was very disgusting. But she did give me that day off despite saying she could "deny requests". After my surgery, I was told I needed to recover for 10 days. But I had to do a 7-8 hour shift the next day. That's when I decided to quit. I texted and called Tonya and told her my plans and that I was done. I didn't even give 2 weeks because I was physically and mentally exhausted. The whole time I was there I never felt appreciated. No matter how good I was, Tonya found a way to put me down. The only employee that she was really nice to was the one that's still there (I don't wanna say her name). And unfortunately, I'm not the only former employee who has a negative review for the East Peoria Sally's. Her attitude is terrible. If you want to be a beauty advisor, DON'T WORK AT THIS SALLY'S.

I was appalled at the lack of managerial skills from the store manager. I went in one day and the manager Tanya Smith was barking at her employees on what to do and criticizing them in front of the customers, making negative remarks about outfits and asking them personal questions that was totally inappropriate! When she proceeded to check me out, she viciously grabbed the merchandise out of my hand, practically threw the change at me, shoved my merchandise in a bag and practically shoved it in my hand and did all that without a smile, a thank you or at least a little small talk. I've been to the East Peoria store several time and have never had good vibes from this location.

Usually I don't need help but this time I did. I wanted to dye my hair but not with box color so a young lady helped me, although I didn't catch her name. She was super helpful in helping me picking a brand and developer. She also told me how to use it as this was my first time dying my hair like this and I was a little nervous. Any other time I've gone in I've always gotten friendly service and they always offer help if I need it!

Manager is completely rude and unprofessional. Didn't smile or greet me. She just stared at the bag of 3 half full bottles of ION hairspray that the sprayer on them no longer worked. When this has happened in the past several other stores will exchange them. The manger said they were empty enough I should buy new. I can just go somewhere else and spend my money. Over the years Sally's standards for employees has really gone down hill. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Went in for a specific look but the lady that helped me only ended up confusing me and I ended up buying hair color that did the opposite of what i wanted it to. She had a cast on her leg.. so i wound up with green hair instead of blue and it all washed out because she told.me "the semi permanent ones are actually permanent" i told her i wanted to use the dye with developer too. Instead i got the apply from tube kind. yall need to hire people that know about hair and products. Or atleast how to talk to people without confusing them
