We have had many gathering in the ball room here. My friend got married here and it's been a complete trainwreck since the new management took over. Charging per head when we supplied out own pizza. Things they were suppose to supply for 5k she paid were not supplied. We had to run out at last minute and supply plates and silverware. For cake when it was suppose to be supplied. We were suppose to have a getting ready room for the bridal party that was included in our contract. And 4days before the wedding we were told we had to pay another $250 for that room when it was in our contact. This new managent is horrible. The list literally goes on. I would not suggest spending your money here. So many nicer better hotels in the area.

Every time I stay at Stony Creek I always get a room with a hot tub in it. Mostly because of my girlfriend who is a big fan of them and I am a big fan of her's so I think that it works out well for both of us. But the rooms here have been great and we also love the chance to get away together and I don't know where else we would rather go. So I give them a 5 star rating for their room options and I would like to say thanks for letting us be able to just relax and enjoy our time together.Rooms: Every time I stay at Stony Creek I always get a room with a hot tub in it. The place is great. Stepping back to the 90's but clean, friendly staff. I wouldn't recommend the continental breakfast. At 6:30 am is an annoying lady that tries to help you eat your breakfast. I was so annoyed! I think at 50 years old, I'm fully capable of eating breakfast with no help! I've been to many continental breakfasts and have never been this bothered while eating bye an employee. Ugh. Go out for breakfast is what we should have done.

Don’t spend your money here! New management has taken over and are running it into the ground! Been staying here 20 years and always had a good experience, until the last two within the last 6 months. RUDE and UNFRIENDLY staff and service!! If you’re wanting to use the spa and sauna, pick a different hotel because they’re both out of commission. Wrist bands for the pool area limited to 3 per room and MUST BE WORN by occupants AT ALL TIMES! Sure that helps overcrowding because old management filled this hotel every weekend in years past but overcrowding isn’t something they’ll have to worry about moving forward. The room was clean but it got hot and air conditioner did not work so it was very hard to sleep in sweat. Breakfast, sub par at best. The parking lot was half full at best of the way it’s been in the past and word has gotten out that customer satisfaction has gone down the crapper and it’s all the staffs fault. DO NOT rent a conference or party room if you’re wanting to have a relaxing evening without being bothered. They sit and watch the cameras because they’ve got nothing better to do and will come give strict reminders if you have a kid that happens to stand on a couch in the commons area. You’ll get charged if you want to bring food and they say their “liquor license doesn’t allow outside alcohol in the party room” and must be purchased from their bar, but the bar closed at 9:30p on a Saturday night and wouldn’t even sell alcohol. Yet the staff continued to pour and serve drinks to a few people and when asked why they could get served and not us, the response we got was “oh, those are our friends”. Wow. Fun place to stay?! Nope! Responsible group of adults trying to have a family Christmas and they want to babysit us the entire time. We actually ended up leaving the party room and commons area in better condition than it was when we arrived. Stoney Creek is a waste of space and money, don’t spend yours here. This hotel was successful because of outstanding customer service over the years but like many other failed businesses, new management has come in and ruined it. We won’t be back and if you’re reading this, I hope you can find a better spot, lots of great hotels in East Peoria to choose from!

I can't say enough good stuff about this hotel. My room was huge! And very clean. The bed was comfortable, and I even had my own balcony! The breakfast was nice and hot, plenty of choices and Sue was a very kind. I will definitely be staying here again.

We've been here for several birthday parties and this time it was a wedding . The place is nice the service isn't bad but If you don't like kids and you don't like busy places then you won't like this hotel. However it's a great place if you want a kid's birthday

The hotel is really pretty nice, rooms are clean and in good order. Issue that have is with one specific front desk individual named Molly. As we booked a block of rooms for a softball tournament, a few of the dads were in the lobby watching tv and asked Molly to change the station so we could watch the World Series. We were to that she is not allowed to change the station from "corporate ". We were surprised and said "Really?" She said "that is what you have rooms for" implying that we should probably leave the lobby . One of the dads said, let's see if the lobby bar is open and we can watch the game there. Molly was quick to just beat us there to turn the lights off as soon as we turned the corner!! I commented to Molly that she was rude and I don't understand why we can't watch the game. At that point she said if I wanted to put my name on a complaint list the manager would get back to me. What happened to the days of customer service in service industries and civility. It was three middle aged non-drinking softball dads wanting to see a baseball game. After I not so subtly expressed my frustration, Molly wanted to know my name and room number so she could tell the manager what a rude and disrespectful guest I was. I am not rude, not disrespectful, just wanted to watch a baseball game with my two friends.Lots of choices in the Peoria area, have never stayed at the Stoney Creek Hotel before and because of Molly, will never stay here again. I am sure that it will be portrayed as an unfounded complaint, but I stay at a lot of hotels, I am not a rude demanding person, but am floored by the attitude of Molly. We are coming back for a tournament in February and was going to block 15 rooms for our team, but because of Molly, that will not be happening.

The pool and hottub were not open and we were not told until we arrived. The ice machine on the third floor was also out of service and the "cabin" themed room was very dated and worn. We paid for two nights and only stayed one.Rooms: Just not as nice as it was made out to be. Very disappointed.

Upon reading the great reviews on this hotel. I booked and upon arrival I knew that was a mistake. This place is very old and dated. The place was so dusty and dingy, the smell in the hallways reeked. I was scare to touch anything in this establishment. We got to the room it was awful, the smell along made me want to sleep in the car. So we decided to make the best of our weekend. Until I woke up to a BED BUG crawling in the bed. I took pictures, killed it and took the BED BUG to the front desk. The young lady on duty was very professional. She was understanding about we would like our money refunded. I wouldn't recommend this place at all!!

Place was recommended by my boyfriends family who live in the area.. Booked the king with balcony. Room was very damp and carpet was moist. Balcony was infested with spiders. Wifi didn't work at all. Tried going to the pool only to find out it had been closed down all year and they're waiting for permits to open back up(Nothing on their website says this). Called for a late check out and front desk lady was extremely rude and lied saying they had someone checking in after us. Little did she know my boyfriends family was in the room next door for another day and absolutely noone checked into that room after us. They had booked the suite with a fireplace that didn't work. The place is so damp that the wallpaper is falling off. This place is very run down and definitely not worth the price you pay. Ended up getting sick and having to go to the doctor after our stay here. I got so sick I had to take steroids for the asthma flare to go down. I wish I was able to post pictures along with this review. DONT BOOK HERE!!

i stayed at this hotel on sept 23rd 2023 paid 336$ for the room with the jacuzzi tub for me and my wife’s 9th anniversary. As we arrived we walked into the room it smelled like weed so bad i could have got a contact high! I asked for them to spray they did, we went to dinner came back and it still stunk! If it wasn’t homecoming night and all the other hotels were not booked i would have got my money back and stayed elsewhere. I have tried all week to get ahold of this manager with no call back! i deserve all my money back! Room 313 was not worth it! Not to mention we hand no washcloths. I would not recommend! Not to mention Breakfast had some moldy biscuits!Mite call the health department if i don’t get a refund!
