I’ve had good experiences here years prior but this year tell me why the person filling my taxes barely spoke English, had to phone a friend for half of my documents, I paid 500$ to file which is a little over normal. And then I end up having to pay more because IRS sends me an invoice for another 300+ dollars and now the state is requesting another 260$ in unpaid taxes when it was H&R Block’s job to square me away… why am I paying 500$ for someone who can’t file my documents correctly and then what’s the peace of mind even for?
I need to reach out and see how they handle this failure on their part but their hours are usually while I’m working. This year has been a 1/10 they need to get it together and stop outsourcing. Otherwise just use another company.

Wonderful experience (well as best as doing taxes are) Gary a manager from anther branch was super knowledgeable and made the process quick and proficient very kind preparer and the receptionist also went above expected

Somehow my very small return managed to be deposited to my account, but what was owed to both Illinois and Missouri was never withdrawn from my account and therefore charged a late fee on top of what was owed. Now, I seemingly have little to no recourse as no one will return my calls or respond to my messages. Also, they reeled me into some added charge of $200 or so that the whole point of was to prevent issues with my taxes, and I've had nothing but issues. I would avoid using their services.

We've been seeing Georgette Orman for years now. We love her personality and she cares about her clients. Update 2024...Still true this year as it was when I originally wrote. Georgette is a Senior tax advisor.

Lost my documents for a week and a half, could only find most of the documents I had dropped off after searching for an hour and then accused me of being a liar several times. Will never give H&R Block my business again.
