If I could give 10 stars for the detailing job they did, I would. My car is my office, and I have a 2022 Highlander. When I picked it up from having it detailed, it looks brand new! They couldn’t have don’t a better job, and I highly recommend having them detail your car if you’re in the market for that.

I couldn't be happier w my purchase from Hecht Toyota. I had searched high and low for the truck I wanted and ended up on an 1.5 hour drive to Effingham. Everything went great! Friendly employees, lovely facility and so much more. Really nice and helpful people. And no " car salesman-y" type stuff. Cody was great as was Paul in the finance paperwork part. Nothing sneaky and no surprises. The owner even came out to greet me. Great people! I am happy with this down state discovery and will for sure and go back next time! Totally worth the drive!

After saving and searching for my dream car after getting out of the U.S. Army, I finally found it at Dan Hecht Chevrolet in Effingham, Illinois. A Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE. The sales process went OK, a few bumps along the way because I was buying from a state away, but we got through it all and I thought I was in good shape when I took delivery of my Camaro. The car came with a certified pre-owned warranty, and I felt secure that I would be covered in the future should I have any issues. Not long after owning the car, the car started throwing codes for misfire and deterioration of the catalytic converters. No worries, I'll just bring it in and the warranty will cover it. I brought the car in for repairs and it was discovered that there were aftermarket parts installed on the car that were causing the issue. Aftermarket parts that were installed on the car prior to me purchasing it, and not disclosed to GM by Dan Hecht Chevrolet on the certified pre-owned inspection. Because of this, GM has blocked my factory warranty and canceled the CPO warranty. GM's response was to go back to Dan Hecht for any and all repairs or compensation as they misrepresented the vehicle when they sold it to me. Bob Hecht, one of the owners at the dealership, was initially OK to work with on the issue when he thought they were going to get GM to cover it. Once GM pulled back, Bob sent me the following message: "Based on the information that we have received and conversations from other professionals in this industry. We have came to a conclusion that we will not be offering any assistance in this current matter. Unfortunately this is a very bad situation for your vehicle to be broken down and we understand." I am now stuck with a massive bill for diagnostics and repairs that neither GM nor Dan Hecht will cover, and a car that doesn't run. I would caution anyone from doing business with this dealership. If you've experienced something similar with them, have any advice, or would simply like to know more about my experience with them, please feel free to reach out to me.

I had a pretty good experience with my sales person Elizabeth but when it came time for financing, everything changed. A little background about my situation. I am a first time new car buyer so I am not very initiated on how these things work. My father is a 23 year Toyota employee. I thought that the dealership had my best interest at heart, but that's not how it went. This dealership intentionally hid Toyota financing options from me, so that I was forced to finance through Chase Bank at a higher interest-rate, which ultimately made the dealership more money. When I confronted the sales manager Heath Estes and the owner Dan Hecht about this, they both told me it was an easy business decision, and that I should've been a more informed consumer. This dealership intentionally took advantage of me, and showed no remorse for their actions when it was said and done. This is not the kind of treatment you would expect to a family member of someone who has been in the Toyota family for so long. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Came in for a simple oil change. Made an appointment for 9 am. They did not finish the Car till 11am. I asked three people why it took so long, and all they could say is I do know.Talked to the owner, and he said he would look into it. Got no answer from him.I am very disappointed in their service department and the folks out front who are supposed to help you. They love selling cars, but then service and customer satisfaction go out the window. Not one person offered an apology
