Effingham Veterinary Clinic has been there for us and our fur family. From assisting in complicated bovine birthing to the dog getting hit to treatment after a rescuea dog tested positive for heart worms. They are always friendly, understanding and helpful with your pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We had an emergency on Sunday and I called the emergency number. Dr. Gratz returned my call and agreed to meet at the Keller office. He was polite and kind to my son and I and Sophie , son's dog. Soon he had Sophie sedated and assessed her wounds. Stitches were put in and IM antibiotic given and something to help her wake up. We arrived at 610pm and by a little after 7pm we were on our way home. We are very grateful Dr. Gratz took time out of his Sunday evening at home to help 2 frantic people and an injured dog get the help she needed.

Always friendly and prompt. Made us very comfortable when we had to say goodbye to our beloved pet of almost 20 years. Very caring.

They were so kind when I had to euthanize my dog. I was very selfish with the time I spent with my little guy and wanted to know how much longer I could spend with him in his limited days. They're were able to guide me through his last days and assist me in spending what days I had left with him doing what he loved. I'm thankful for that.

I took my dog here to get his OFA hips done. Communication was extremely poor. They did not tell me to bring his vaccine records, his registration papers, and then when I showed up they told me they wouldn’t submit anything because there was “no proof that I owned him” because his registered name was different than his call name that I listed when I made an appointment. They did finally agree that I was his owner and not showing them a random dog’s pedigree after a lot of hassle.I also did not find out they never even submitted my x rays to OFA even though they took my money for them until weeks later when I called to ask, because I “never gave them papers”. I had already explained to them multiple times that his breed registry does not issue papers and it is not a AKC/UKC breed, they only have a pedigree database with a number linked to his pedigree I could provide them. They assured me they did not need it at the time of the appointment, only to find out they never submitted them because of this.after reviewing it with OFA’s website, they DO NOT need a registration number to accept x rays.On top of that, after reviewing the x rays with long time breeders and also veterinarians, they told me they were positioned badly and should be retaken.

The staff is kind. The vet seems knowledgeable and up-to-date with current studies. She was willing to answer questions I had regarding the care of my cat. She kept him in his carrier so he wasn't as frightened of the situation as I have seen him when they remove him from his carrier.
