Overcharged on my debit card by $80 plus dollars, I questioned her on the amount, she corrected it. Never a thought of an apology from her...Nothing ! I go to a another lane if she is working. Very poor attitude. Their return policy is very poor with a receipt, forget if don't have a receipt. Buy from them only if my only option. Not a fan. Free Popcorn...lol

I went to purchase a self propelled lawnmower. The gentleman who I talked to on the phone was Stacy. He told me to ask for him when I got to the store. He was the first employee I came across in the power equipment. I not only needed a lawnmower but I also needed some bolts to put my highway pegs on my motorcycle. He was super nice he explained what the difference was between a lock tight nut and a regular nut. I'm a widower and truly appreciated the extra time and effort to educate me on this! Stacy went to the lawnmowers and acted like it was nothing for him to handle this monster box off the top shelf. I asked if there was any already put together he said no but opened the box and showed me exactly what it would take to put it together. He was absolutely right it was very simple! This man is an exceptional employee Rural King you have a wonderful really fantastic guy here! I can't express how helpful he was. Thank you Stacy

I visited the Rural King location in Effingham IL, 62401, 201 Walk Ave, to return some vegetable seeds I purchased a week ago, and was DEMANDED to give my phone number to the cashier and threatened to not get my money back if I didn't, I asked for Management and was told it's a POLICY by Two DIFFERENT MANAGERS ( JOSH, and the other manager an older woman ) ( I've read RURALKINGS return policy nowhere dose it state that I have to give my phone number to get a refund ), I kindly explained I didn't have a phone number to give and was told to give a FAKE one, so I did to get my money back! ( after it took them Two Tries to figure out how to give me a refund ) MEANWHIAL an employee named HOLLY was standing behind me LAUGHING OUT LOUD, making rude comments like ( "THIS IS'NT WALMART" ) and trying to escalate the argument. I now have a RECIPTE with another Customer's FULL Name, Account Number's, Reward Points ECT. BEWARE of this location!

The reason I'm reviewing them a two is because they had dead chicks just sitting in the customer trash can and when I asked the farm manager he seemed happy about it. The reason the chicks are dead is because they don't take care of them, their water is always empty or spilt everywhere which can lead to health issues for the chicks. Same with the feed, it's always spilt too. When I'm righting this review I'm also talking about many other stores that sell animals not just this one rural king. They also don't care for their rabbits that they sell because they're kept in very small, metal cages that hurt their feet. I understand that they can't have very much room due to many reasons. But, there are many ways to upgrade their miserable lives. Like switching their water and food more frequently than just when it's empty. I was nice and gave them two stars though because they had all of the normal ones things as one store does. It's just makes me mad that no one cares about the quality of the animals lives in stores.
