October2025: 4⭐: I would recommend this location and the workers here now.
The store was clean in appearance AND smell. The interior was orderly and seemingly well stocked with goodies. This location seems to be a newer location than others I have previously visited today. The restroom was just cleaned and mopped as I was cautioned by the worker in the store.

It's a speedways gas station. Pretty par for the course, always a quick stop, reasonable prices on gas, plenty of snack, food and drink items to choose from too.

The kitchen staff are super helpful. They were able to make me croissants after breakfast hours and I truly appreciated it. The establishment is always clean. Staff friendly. And they make the best decorated donuts. ♥️ thank you

I really like going to Speedway in Effingham! Great prices on gas and their store has a lot to offer! The workers all always willing to help out any way they can!

Gas pumps play advertisements while you pump. We shouldn't have to put up with everything getting worse as a society.

I really like this store prefer it to the Petro and Chrome store truck stops that are on the other side of the highway. However the reason it is not a five-star is because this week the third week of March 2024 the night shift lady behind the counter has some kind of cold or something and keeps coughing and not covering her mouth. Which is off-putting and a hazard to others health.
