Don't even try to stay here!We travel to El Paso, IL very often and thought we would try this hotel as opposed to the other one in town we usually stay at. What a huge mistake. The woman who works the front desk was rude, and every time we mentioned a concern with the room, she said that is not her job, "tell housekeeping tomorrow".My mother-in-law needed a handicap room, and when she checked in, someone had previously taken a dump in the toilet and barely flushed it. NICE! There was mold growing at the base of the shower, and the hand held shower nozzle had no place to hang so you could shower hands-free.There is never anyone at the front desk, and I'd have to yell and knock on the counter in hopes someone could hear me....which got her attention 50% of the time. This front desk woman clearly does not see the connection between working the front desk and being responsible for the overall customer experience...like, maybe ask "how was your stay?"The place is dirty, unsafe, and they really don't appreciate your business.

The room is $144 for 2 Queen beds. It has yellow stains, smelled like smoke, and the carpet was dirty. The bed had springs, like the cheapest mattress ever. I was truly scared I was going to get bugs. Worst room I have ever seen.

This place was a filthy dump. Smelled of 40yrs of cigarettes. Furniture was full of cigarette burns. Carpet filthy and full of holes. No flooring in bathroom just bare concrete that was badly stained with what appeared to be feces. Window had no screen and could be pulled open from outside as it did not latch. Microwave was dirty with baked on food remnants. Wyndham needs to pull their franchise from this 3rd world dump. BTW don't believe the pictures this dump is painted all black on the outside. We only stayed less than an hour. We were afraid to sit or lay down. I wish I could give zero stars.

I travel through this area frequently and enjoyed staying here. I will not be back after this trip and will chose a more affordable option. The staff was extremely rude right from check in and upcharged me 30 dollars for a registration error. The breakfast, which was a big reason for choosing the hotel, only included two types of cold cereal. I thought this was unacceptable for the price. The rooms were clean and spacious but not worth the terrible check in experience and complete lack of any amenities.

We made our reservation at the Super 8 Motel in El Paso, Illinois two weeks before our visit by calling the hotel's direct line. We reserved a king-size, non-smoking room. I specifically asked about the pet policy because the rate quoted on their specific, local website stated $5/dog for dogs 10 lbs and under. Our dogs are 10, 8, and 7 pounds. The gentleman who took the reservation confirmed the non-refundable pet deposit was $5/dog. When we arrived to check in for our visit after 13 hours of travel and late at night, we were told it would be $15/dog for the pet deposit, and we had to pay the $45 in cash - they would not add the cost to our credit card with the payment for the hotel fees. My question is who is pocketing this cash?We were shown a smoking room with two double beds. When I showed them my email reservation confirmation, they said the only king rooms available is on the 2nd floor, and dogs were not allowed on the 2nd floor. Then we were offered a non-smoking room with two twin beds. We called corporate customer service who told the manager we see your policies say $5/pet and there is no policy against pets on the 2nd floor and you need to honor this reservation. They refused the customer service agent for a 1/2 hour. They kept insisting when you make your reservations online, it shows the higher price, She could not comprehend that I phoned to make my reservation and was quoted the $5, and the king room.We went to the Days Inn down the road who let us put our pet fee on the credit card and gave us a discount for the aggravation we had at the other hotel. We contacted corporate customer service the next morning who confirmed that we were correct about both of these policies and to contact the hotel directly - like we were going to get anything from them other than another night's stay at their hotel. No thank you!

Rooms are fine but I cancelled a reservation, Wyndham confirmed the cancellation was successful, only to discover my points were never refunded. After two hours on the phone with very unhelpful and unclear representatives of Wyndham Rewards, I was directed to call the hotel. The hotel's phone system has issues that took even more time. When I finally got a hold of a human at the front desk, they asked me to wait on hold for a few more minutes. Ended up giving up because I ran out of time and had another commitment. This is the worst hotel customer service situation I have ever experienced, although 80% of the blame falls on Wyndham Rewards.

Used to stay at this property for many years as I traveled through Illinois. Since its changed hands, it's gotten worse! Very poor service, the breakfast they offer is a joke! One disposable cup in room, half the amount of towels, room key works half the time! Better check your receipt too. They claim they give you AAA discount but they don't! Will never stay at this hotel.ever.again. It's a joke!Nearby activities: Antique shops

Room had absolutely no air conditioning working, vending machines were completely empty, absolutely no hot water. You're better off staying in a car than in this

We used wyndham points to book this room. We got in late around 9:30 pm and just needed a bed to stay in, we planned on leaving out by 8am to drive home. The front desk lady did not want to grant us our king size bed room because she said only 2 people were allowed in the room, it was my husband, me, and our 5 year old daughter. Finally she let us into our room. The entire hotel smelled like my grandmas house , musty and old. Which isn't a bad thing it was almost comforting. The hotel is very dated but for the most part everything was clean and there were no bugs. I felt safe here. There was no bar soap in the bathroom just 1 thing of mini shampoo. You should skip on the breakfast it is not very good at all. A few cereals and a gallon of milk. We went down the road to mcdonalds for breakfast. For the money you get what you pay for.

No microwaves in rooms...had black mold spots in their "unplugged" mini fridge. The "breakfast" consists of apple juice, milk and either cornflakes or frootloops (maybe generic) and also coffee. I've ALWAYS had waffles I make at ALL other places I've stayed. And fresh fruit...pantries, yogurt many places...Very surprised here.

I have to admit, I was a little nervous staying here..... I have limited options because I have cats, and while many hotels are now "pet friendly," that is a misnomer - many are dog friendly, but very few are cat friendly. So, I end up staying where cats are accepted. The outer door was not secured. There was a smell of marijuana in the hall. I doubted the cleanliness of my room. I would likely look for another cat friendly hotel in a neighboring town next time.

This place is a hidden gem. Very clean. Extremely quiet. Management is friendly and attentive. They apparently load/fill guests starting at opposite ends of the hotel (which is awesome). And $50 cheaper than the surrounding areas (even with 2 dogs). Everything worked in the room (including lamps). Power plug ins were easy to access/desktop area. It's a simple room but everything you need is there for a comfy overnight. There was no breakfast but the coffee was hot and fresh. The single/King room had plenty of room for the dogs to huff and puff without knocking anything over. This is honestly one of the best Super 8s I've ever stayed in!
