in May 2023 i agreed to buy windows from home depot. home depot said they will get all permits and submit plans for hoa approval. in June they came out to replace the windows and started work. 1 hour into the job the hoa management company called me to tell me i never submitted approval and the job needed to be stopped. since june till today home depot never replaced the windows. i spoke with assistant managers and nothing still. if i had district managers number i call him and now iam looking into legal help. if i could i would give them zero stars i paid for $2000 for down payment now i have windows that i cant keep

Apparently some Home Depot stores have a bad customer service rep, but I've always found their people to be friendly and helpful. It's my go to store for building or fixing anything. I've got other options in my backyard, but I always come back to Home Depot. Give them a try. You'll thank me.

Well I have to say it's not too happy with service at the store honestly I'm used to going to Menards but home Depot was closer. The problem was getting some body to help and it wasn't just me there was at least three or four other people around the areas where I was looking for somebody for help I asked two people if they can send me somebody and although they called out it still took about 30 to 40 minutes for someone to come help now when he did arrive he was very helpful help me find exactly what I needed because it took some putting parts together And he figured it out pretty quick.. like there wasn't enough employees

I recently wrote a very honest and harsh review for the 24 hour Walgreens here in Elgin. So I thought I'd balance that out by writing an honest appraisal of a different Elgin store that has never let me down.This Home Depot is perhaps quite possibly the store I visit most in this city. Sometimes I have an emergency and they have what I need, even at a late hour, to remedy it. Sometimes I'm simply getting in over my head with a project and this is the place I'll make multiple trips to in a day to get the project done.Many times, I'm simply going to the Isle I know what I'm looking for is in. Sometimes, I've got a plan in my head and I'll find an employee to bounce my idea off of and they will almost always be able to guide me to the products they carry to help bring my idea to fruition. I say "almost" because sometimes my idea isn't always the best...I wish I had names, and I plan to update this review with a few, but so many of them are incredibly helpful. Bending over backwards at times to help me out. And when one person doesn't know something, they will always make sure to pass me on to someone who does.From the flooring section to the rental department. Randomly walking the floor to the staff at the checkout area. This is perhaps my favorite store to shop at. Hell, even the patrons are often friendly!

Waited 45 minutes for someone in lumber to assist me... 8 people from other departments assured me someone was coming... no one came!I left the store without purchase.

Able to return what I needed. The "as seen on TV" hose was garbage though. Wish they didn't carry low quality items like that

All I needed was 6 vinyl blinds for a rental property. First of all, the selection in this store is picked over...the inventory hasn't been replenished so some of what I needed was in boxes 20 above on the rack. After the hassle of finding someone to bring them down for me, I noticed that they only had open boxes of some of the sizes I needed. All of this is very frustrating and feels very disorganized to say the least. I reluctantly purchased 2 open box items and by the time I got home I realized that BOTH had the hardware REMOVED!! So I drove a half hour back to the store hoping I could swap hardware from a different box so I could complete my project. After all I paid for two incomplete, UNUSABLE items!! Donna, who was working at the counter was just the worst from beginning to end. Her attitude was "NO" from the moment I walked up. She said if I couldn't find the exact same size blind that they wouldn't let me take the hardware from a different box, I'd have to drive another half hour to a different store. What a joke! I could just buy another size and return THAT one without the hardware which I explained. Again. "NO". When she called the store manager about this, of course he rationally answered "yes, of course" because as a customer I just wanted the complete items that I paid for!! Donna needs to find a different job than customer "service" in my opinion.
