I’d give no stars if I could. This was my 2nd experience and it was AWFUL! The 1st time I came, I thought maybe this lady is having a bad day or something, but got through it. But today was a repeat of just a nasty attitude. A couple arrived before me, the individual was frustrated because he had an appointment at 12:40, but they had a sign posted that the lab was closed from 12-1 for lunch. Once we got in, he naturally was upset at the delay and this extremely rude receptionist says to him “I emailed you that we would be closed” to which he replied says “I never got an email. This lady just dismissed what he said and instructed him to check in. I then tried to ask if there was a way for them to check if my insurance was in-network (had been trying to work that out with my insurance for 3 days prior with no actual confirmation). She flatly said no and barely looked at anything I handed her (trying to confirm they could run those labs at their facility). She essentially shooed me away too and told me to check in. When asked if they did Covid testing - for the same tone - told no. I found that odd and questioned it, she said they don’t swab there. Again still astonished I said weird I didn’t think that a lab wouldn’t do them - and then it happened, I got the “what” with the attitude. So I repeated what I had said loudly - finished my check in and waited. During my wait there was an issue with the couple who arrived before me some back & forth about their labs order. From what I gathered only one order (for the husband) was received and not for the wife and they didn’t have a paper copy- they were told to just show up …I felt so bad for these people and how she spoke with them - she basically said it was their fault the order was not received by the lab. So my turn comes up barely says two words to me and I hand over my labs. Tells me to go sit down, by now I have befriended another patient who shared her bad encounters with this receptionist as well. After about 5 mins I get called back up and am asked were is my sample. I say that’s why I’m here - now we go back and forth about I should have brought one vs the doctor simply gave me the order and instructed me to come in. The continued snarkiness is now flat out rude and abrupt, so in an effort to TRY and diffuse the situation I ask if there is another location I can go to as I was no longer comfortable there. She spat out an address and again had to stop her and re-ask for that information…when I caught the eye roll I had hit my limit and will be reaching out to discuss this further with labcorp.
I am sincerely sorry for individuals who don’t have a choice but to go here. By choice NEVER again. Basic courtesy or kindness does not exist here - much less empathy or any type of admitting of wrong doing; EVERYONE is fallible. People are coming to you on days when they are not at their best, they don’t need to be condescended to or treated like they don’t matter. You are in healthcare - DO BETTER!

Scheduled an appointment online, got a confirmation. Showed up to my appointment and checked in from my car. Got a text message to come in and a few mins later I got called back. The phlebotomist was awesome and really sweet. I was in and out in less than 15 mins.

The Place is In a basement so there is little to no reception when trying to bring up medical documents in digital for email submission and once I did have the document, their email address for this location kept bouncing back as not valid despite rechecking it several times as well as the receptionist checking it. The whole thing was way more aggravating than it needed to be. Make sure you have paper copies of everything. Some places still haven't moved out of the 90's.

My third time here. Every time I have been in, there has been only one employee but the intake/phlebotomist is always courteous and professional. I failed to ask for her name but she is awesome.

My visit to Labcorp was great - the only exception would be a note that the office is in the basement of the building would have saved me a few minutes. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. Check in tablet was easy to use. I did make an appointment and was called in early. The blood draw was the first in my life that I never felt the needle (but did see it drawn :) ) Glad I went.

the two women there were extremely rude and not helpful, they sent me and a very elderly person across the street multiple times. when we came back they were visibly laughing at us, would not recommend.

Receptionist was on the phone with her children or something while I was trying to check-in with her. It took extremely long.

I brought my daughter that has Down Syndrome and hates blood work to the Elgin location. I should mention I'm on crutches and was struggling at the self check in station. Paige stepped in and scanned my documents for me very cheerfully even tho I'm sure I uttered an expletive in frustration before she got there. She also took blood from my child without issue who normally needs a few people to hold her in place. She was awesome! What a wonderful asset to your company! Thank you Paige.

Came on a Saturday and only 1 person working there. Many people waiting because of that. Also many people seemed to have trouble unless they had the proper paperwork. Place is in the basement. So enter and take elevator down.

I’ve always had a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and I’ve hardly ever had to wait more than a few minutes before they call me back.
