I will admit it is a well stocked liquer store. The people where okay. I will never go back because it definitely has a mold problem & smelled horrible.

Don't let the modest building or the liquor store listing mislead you. This unbelievable organization has the ability to find expressions major shops can't. They recently procured 750ml of Calumet 12 for me.

Really liked this place the local vibe and friendly dog. Some good prices but the Blantons, Widow Jane, Calumet and similar are > 20% marked up. Maybe other liquor items are fair value so still give it a try and support local business.

Bought some beer, drank a can and thought it tasted bad but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since I haven't had it before. I then opened a can of a beer I usually drink and basically instantly spit it out. I looked at the date and it was canned close to 6 years ago. The other beer was almost 3 years old which explained why I hated it. The conditions of the cans was enough of a red flag to put them down but you can't really be surprised when everything in there is as dirty as the cans are. I never leave reviews but this was so nasty that I had to post it.

I cannot give a rating due to the fact that I never go in there. However, for the past 30 plus years along with recent complaints on yelp, tripled with the fact that ONCE I went in there ( first time in 15 years, nothing changed)--- it SMELLS SO BAD BAD BAD. I cannot take it in there--- the smell, the stupid doors, the way they speak to me and others-- its ghetto as ef and I care not to write another review of this . One would THINK that by now this issue would be solved but sadly it is not. There is an out of business pizza hut there next door. It is the only part of that stretch of land that looks awful. North of the tracks and a bit south have a few minor businesses and some major ones but its all fast food unless you count Big Skillet which is-- nevermind, no comment on that one for sure. Is what it is. I long to see the day where Elgin changes. Sad to say. It wont.
