Paid for shredding service, only to find out bins are full. Didn’t staff know they were full? Young man walks over to bins and says “you could squeeze some in” as he pulls papers out of bin! I said no that I wasn’t going to put my stuff in there. He says “we have cameras.” I tell him I want a refund. He goes in the back and communicates with someone comes back out and tells me that only the manager can authorize a refund but the manager is busy right now. I have to wait 10 to 15 minutes. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I told him to go in the back and get the manager that I wasn’t going to wait that this was ridiculous! He came back again and said oh she’s not here. So I went and waited in my car for 15 minutes, I had no choice. When I came back in the manager walked up to me, put her hand out for my receipt she did not say one word to me. She handed me the refund receipt back and told me have a nice day. When you become a manager at anything in life, you take on extra responsibility so if a customer needs assistance such as I did, you stop eating your lunch and you go and fix the problem - not hide in the back room. Unbelievable. Never going there again.

My daughter was born abroad and I made an appointment to have documents notarized so that I could request a new copy of her birth certificate, I even left it in the description section on the appointment what type of form i was bringing, i set the appointment around 9am for 130pm that same day. Upon arrival I had to wait in line, luckily I was there bout 10 mins early, once I got to the clerk he ends up telling me that he can not notarize the document because I need some " higher the chain , and that he is the lowest level" as he said and recommended I got to the circuit court, which they could not do it. After spending an additional 90 minutes of running around trying to find someone to help I ended up going to local bank and they were about to do the paper work in less then 5 minutes! When I asked the lady she said that she is licensed by the state of IL but there is not a "special rating" system and UPS should have been able to do it. Very disappointed because I had everything ready and printed.

Took a day off work to go in and had to pay to create label for time sensitive package. Agent never put label on and had package shipped back to me instead of new outbound address. Now have to take off work to go in to have this corrected. Not professional and a huge waste of time

I went in a few days ago to return my amazon product and the employee named "Nakeita" was very rude to me and gave a lot of attitude for no reason at all. I also overheard her nearly screaming at an elderly customer that was behind me. I am frankly disgusted with this behavior and will NOT be returning to the UPS Store.

Jaryd. He was so friendly, and patient. It was a great shipping experience that could have been miserable due to chaotic Christmas season. Please give him some form of recognition!

I called about a package shipped to my house that I wasn’t going to be home to sign for ahead of time to see if I could get it rerouted to this location so I could come pick it up when I was done with work. The person I spoke to assured me that the package would automatically be sent to this location after 2 more days of me not being home to sign for it. Well the 3rd day came and I got a notice that my package was being sent back to the sender in California. When I called to try to reroute it again they said the best they could do was hold it for me in palatine. I’m not sure who down the chain messed up but I’m very upset that I now need to drive 50 minutes out to palatine to pickup my package. Also the UPS customer service line took forever and was unhelpful and nobody I spoke to about this seemed to care that they screwed up. I’m frustrated and disheartened and considering just using FedEx for now on.

BEWARE!! The UPS store in Elgin at 847S. Randall Rd. takes your insurance money, then when your package is destroyed by their transportation process refuses to pay. In the FINE print of their insurance you NEVER see or is explained when you purchase it let's them off the hook for not packaging it themselves, or the box which was used. Terrible UPS store NOT trustworthy.

I had 10 gifts to ship, each to different addresses, and did not print the labels myself. The three young people working and their manager all helped with my transaction, as two of the shipments were international and several other customers needed help while I was there. They were friendly, helpful, and cared about what they were doing despite how busy it was. They made a potentially stressful situation very positive.

DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE, for any important overnight deliveries! I paid $86.99 for paperwork to be sent overnight to FL. I called next day to find my envelope was still in store, and never made the truck yesterday along with other envelopes! Next time I’ll try FedEx across the street.

I came in to return some things and was frustrated that I needed a box that Amazon told me I did not need a box for. I was not rude and just took the item back and said I was frustrated with Amazon. This was not the UPS gentleman’s fault however he had one of the worst attitudes I’ve seen in awhile. I saw him making eyes/rolling his eyes about me when I questioned the box, to another co worker who then did the same thing and both started laughing, while I am standing there. I realize they are young but this was very rude and honestly mean to a stranger, let alone a customer. I would never go back to this UPS if this is how they treat customers.
