“Every time I go in I find the best treasures! I've been looking for a percolator coffee pot and low and behold they had one and it was perfect! If you haven't been, you need to go.”

“This is THE PLACE that you didn't know you needed to shop. I visited again today and left with two White House Black Market jackets and a two tone skirt by another manufacturer for under $65! Great quality items.
The prices there are unbelievable. Some prices were comparable to Goodwill - but the quality was more like Von Maur.
Surprise yourself and visit there. Women's section is the largest. They also have a large assortment of shoes, purses, and jewelry.
There are some very nice men's leather shoes and some athletic shoes for adults.
Prices range from low cost/high quality to high cost/high quality.”

“What a nice place. If you did not know, you would think it is a regular store.
You can get a bargain there, although not dirt cheap. That is because they have many upscale brands. Staff super friendly. Easy parking.”

“Lovely store! I'm a Senior Citizen and my limitations to purchase something I need are endless. The discount for Seniors was limited to a certain day of the week....that was a turn off. I wanted a particular piece of furniture and wasn't able to purchase it because I wasn't there on the particular discount day. The item was sold following week of my return. So should Icontinue shop here?”

“We always stop by here when passing through the St. Charles area. Several vendors that have antique and vintage goods along with more current decor. The booths are all beautifully curated. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly.”

“I have been searching and researching for the right chair for my work-from-home experience. went to many office furniture places in the City and wasn't completely satisfied with the service, selection, and prices. so I decided to look into the suburbs for help and found Chairtech in Carpentersville. I contacted Marty, who was extremely friendly and informative over the phone. I went the next day to the showroom and was completely blown away by the selection and the knowledge and experience these guys had. They literally rebuild all the chairs at sight. Marty had me try out many chairs as he suggested that till I sit in different chairs, it's hard to know which chair is the right fit for me. I was actually there to buy a more expensive chair but he suggested that some of the lesser-known chairs that were not in my research list might be a better fit. He was right. I left their showroom extremely happy and saved a lot of money compared to what other places had for sale. I was there for at least two hours and not once did they make me feel, that I am taking too much time for purchasing just one chair. I highly recommend Marty and Chairtech for all your office and chair needs. These guys are legit and truly care about putting you in the right chair and not just the most expensive one. I will be back and will tell all my coworkers.”

“Super cute little consignment shop in a historical building! Will continue to visit each time I am in the area as the contents are said to rotate frequently! This past time I found a vintage pineapple/menehune toothpick holder that came home with me in an instant! Looking forward to the next visit!”

“I'm not sure what Trend + Relic is trying to be. It reminds me of the "home goods" department of Von Maur - beautifully curated, a bit pricey and as soon as something sells, there's another one in stock in the back that they'll put out...

The overall aesthetic is beautiful! It's aspirational as well as attainable. They do have actual antiques sprinkled throughout, but it's mostly gift-ables.

There were 3 women at the checkout that were all very nice. I found a small antique end table and asked if there was any better they could do on the price. All 3 of the women were very involved in a computer issue- talking and asking questions about what happened. Woman #1 explained to me that she texted the woman whose booth the table was from to see if there was any further discount. While she was explaining to me, Woman #2 asked "wait why are you texting XYZ, what do you need?" So woman #1 explained to woman #2 that I was asking for a discount. Then woman#3 walked up and asked if she could help (woman #1 was helping me and woman #2 was still fixing the computer). Woman #1 explained to woman #3 that I was asking for a discount. It was uncomfortable to be standing right there and all 3 woman had to be up-to-speed on every little thing happening at the counter (which was just me standing there asking for a discount). There was no line, no busy-ness. It seemed like the women working had nothing to do... and they were craving the busy-ness of "how can I help?" And "what can I do?" It made it awkward for me, the customer.

I first found this place because a few of their larger furniture pieces are on Facebook Marketplace.”

“After reading others’ reviews, I was cautious to shop this store. However I noticed most of the negative reviews came from people who were attempting to sell clothes. I was shopping not selling and I hoped I would have a different experience.

When I walked in, I asked where to find what I needed. The employee not only told me and pointed the section out, she also walked me over and showed me the exact sizes that I was looking for. She then explained the return policy and asked if I had other questions. I shopped, went to the register, and a different employee immediately stopped her task and rang up my purchases. The cashier explained the loyalty program and chatted while she worked. As I walked out a third employee wished me a good day.

Other reviews also commented on the age of the employees. Everyone I saw today was younger (late teens early twenties) and they provided excellent service. I had a great experience and would recommend this location.”
