Pernice was informative and knowledgeable about the processes customers were coming into the post office for. She was thorough in her explanation to customers and timely. I have had a great experience at this location multiple times with the kind staff.

Very confusing signage/ line system for mail services vs passports. Just got yelled at by the postal worker because I was in the wrong spot (thought the line for mail services was in a different place). She went off on me with a completely inappropriate level of anger, the whole place got quiet! Literally the definition of “going postal” I didn’t say anything in response except I’m sorry and let them know that I do have bad hearing because this woman just flew off the handle and it seemed like someone just needed to diffuse the situation. Wow. Never going back to this location again. Didn’t end up mailing my package because I don’t want her to see my home address! It was at that level of anger. Looking at the rest of the reviews I guess that tracks with their service record. We all have stressful lives, seriously- do better!

Hire more people!! 8 counter only one employee!!! I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes just to scan a return..People are looking for jobs , we need better services!

The staff is slow and lazy. Could care less there is a long line of people waiting! I hate to come to this location for anything because they're lazy, slow and unfriendly!

Severely understaffed to handled scheduled passport appointments along with regular post office employees. 1 person for 15 people in line for both. The one employee maintained her composure and helped one person at a time but severely backed up and a lot of people delayed and waiting to be helped for over an hour from appointment time.

Fire Pruvi and hire more staff. There were not 2 attendants and there were 3 people waiting over 6 minutes just for someone to service them.

New to Elgin so have only been in here a handful of times but each interaction with Javi has been great.
Nobody enjoys going to the PO but if everyone that works at one was as pleasant as him that would change.

I Mailed a package 2 weeks ago, when I'm trying to track it, it shows that they haven't delivered it to its destination yet. When I call them they said they don't know where my package is and they don't have it either and they can not track it.
They just told me to wait more days or weeks, they don't know how long is going to take.
Or fill out a claim but I'm not going to get the value money of my package or my package back.
Very Bad service.

Went in July to change my address in person and these SOBs pretty much threw away my slip. I haven't recieved any mail since I moved back in August. I've set up a bunch of investigations and went to another PO only to be told today over the phone you need to go online and pay $1.50 then come back in person with a confirmation letter and ID in order to start receiving my mail. Totally incompetent and unprofessional, the entire states USPS is totally useless I've had nothing but trouble with every location I've had to deal with.

fails to deliver mail, bad employees, theft and mishandling of mail at this post office.I had late bills, insurance because your post office fails to deliver mail.Numberous complaints! why pay these people they should deliver mail for free.
