Several years ago Rick and Mike Dittmar decided to start selling sweet corn and other produce at the local farmers market. We sell delicious sweetcorn in the summer and pumpkins in the fall. We have planted an orchard that has 4 different kinds of apples. We also farm about 50 acres of "regular farming" with field corn, and alfalfa. In the fall of 2014 we opened for U-pick pumpkins and had over 1300 visitors. Mill Creek Valley comes from the stream that meanders through the farm valley. The farm is located in scenic Jo Daviess County in Northwest Illinois around 10 miles from Galena.

What a great and beautiful place, we were there for a preschool field trip, hayrides and much more, nice people and they really care about their operation, an established family farm since 1854, a definate wonderful family experience.

We went to pick up apples and donuts. Not a big variety of apples in the store, but they were super fresh. Donuts just made and still warm - awesome!
