BEWARE!!!
My family hired this company to store our belongings and later relocate what was stored to our new home. In August 2024, we called and set up a moving date, and we were ecstatic to have our larger/expensive items delivered. The moving date arrived, and the workers moved everything in. To our dismay, after the delivery, we realized that our baby grand piano was damaged, as there were multiple large gouges/scratches on the hood. We were mortified to see our very expensive and sentimental piano damaged. We called Midwest Moving shortly after noticing the scratches, and we were told someone would contact us to file a claim. After many weeks of not hearing back, we called again and were told that someone would follow up with us yet again. Once AGAIN, many weeks pass and no communication with us whatsoever. Around this time, we received a letter in the mail that said that the damage on the piano was there before, so they aren't liable. We were absolutely FURIOUS to see a lack of accountability or integrity. We spent thousands of dollars for their services, including generously tipping their delivery men, to be treated like this? It's been almost one year, and they still haven't taken accountability or done anything for us after damaging personal property. I will also be posting my experience all over Facebook and in local groups. This company can't be trusted!!

To whom it may concern, I am writing to tell you about my experience with Midwest Moving and Storage. My service dates were 3-1-25 to 3-22-25. Upon the removal of my furniture everything seemed to go great. The crew was friendly and handled everything with great care. Before returning I emailed the person who set up the move, Dave Mills requesting the same crew that handled the furniture the first time around ( an email that he also included employees Marc Mendoza and Micheal Tae on ). Needless to say when the furniture arrived it was not the same crew. You wouldn't think it was a problem but while the first crew was friendly and voiced no concerns at all the second crew spent the majority of the time either complaining about how the first crew packed everything and if certain items ( like our treadmill) needed to be taken apart to get through the doorway. After moving back in we noticed a few items were either broken or damaged. I emailed Dave Mills to let him know and he forwarded my email to Dan Bensfield and this is where the problems really started. I understand things get damaged during a move, which is why you hire professional movers with insurance and experience. My original email with Dave and Dan was on 4-18. On 4-25 I emailed saying I would find the original receipts and on 4-29 I sent another email asking if he ( Dan ) would like the receipts submitted together or separate. On 5-21 I sent 3 emails to Dan with all of the pictures he had requested and copies of original receipts dating back to 2018. On 6-8 I emailed Dan for a follow-up to see where everything was at. No response. On 6-17 I emailed Dan again. No response. In fact, the last email I have received from anyone from Midwest was on 4-29-25. I don't know if he is trying to push me off hoping I will forget about it or maybe he didn't expect me to be able to produce receipts dating back to 2018. Either way, this issue is still not resolved.

Moving sucks - with Mid-West Moving & Storage, it sucks way less. I cannot begin to describe how amazing our move went with this company. They went above and beyond and ensured we were satisfied before leaving. I would highly recommend.

The Mid-West team was very efficient, professional, and courteous. They took care moving all of our furniture and boxes and were extra attentive around our very old house with some fragile pieces. They were also sure to ask where boxes and furniture went.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this moving company. Jason was great to work with and excellent at communication. The movers were so professional, kind and incredibly fast. I got quotes from five of the top companies in the area and Mid-West Moving was by far the most honest quote. They were so punctual at showing up for both of our moves in the last week. So courteous, I couldn’t even believe that they removed their shoes every single time they came in or out of the house, no matter what they were carrying! we will definitely be using them again and referring them to everyone.

From my first experience with Jason, my coordinator, till the the final piece of furniture was placed in my new apartment, Mid-West was awesome! Liz and Alfredo packed everything with care. Nothing was found broken when the boxes were unpacked. The movers were fast and very careful in moving everything. All furniture was wrapped in blankets or shrink-wrapped so there was no damage.All 5 were on time, clean and personable, making sure they were doing everything I requested. As a 84-year old with mobility problems that was especially important to me! This was a perfect move! I am very happy to recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation!!
