My family has been taking their animals here for over 30 years. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the doctors always give Grade A care. I would not bring my fur baby to anyone else.

I don't take my pets to any other vet services. Have used Oakton for 35+ years! They care about the animals. Staff is well-trained and customer oriented....and pet oriented!

Wonderful staff who really care. The veterinarian is outstanding. Pleasant waiting room. Very satisfied with everything and will continue to use their services even though they are quite a distance from my home.

I was so impressed with the warm welcome my dog & I were accorded from all the staff . Being our first appointment for her vaccines they were so patient & reassuring towards her. I think we have finally found the right dr & staff to care for our difficult Frenchie.

They are a very nice veterinarian hospital, with a good vet and very nice folks working there. I trust them boarding my cats.

We used to bring our dogs to Oakton Animal Hospital but have decided to change vets. Dr. Mary and the office staff were very kind however the male doctor there was not. When we first adopted one of our dogs he said “ Take him back or put him down, there is no hope for him. “ not the words you want to hear from a vet. We also went to an emergency vet who gave us a medication that we refilled at oakton. It was double the price for the exact same thing. They also told us our dog had a tumor in his ear which perhaps had shrank and gone away but our current vet said it doesn’t appear anything was there before. It’s hard to put faith in a doctor that you feel had lied to you. They are extremely expensive and in my opinion not worth the money when there are much better vets out there for a better price.

Negative experience trying to schedule a new client appointment.I called at 10:00 am to schedule the visit, and gave them my contact information as I was told they would reach out to me once their systems were back up.I called back about 3:10 pm as I had not heard back. They explained they had a Friday appointment during the morning I needed to confirm I would be able to make it to. I asked if they could explain their cancellation policy just so I could save the appointment, and I was recommended to just call back as they require a deposit to book the appointment.I called back at 3:25 pm to book the appointment and was directed to an answering machine. I left a voicemail explaining that I was wanting to book the morning appointment on Friday. Their system also sent an auto text, to which I also responded my interest in booking the morning appointment.I was then able to call back just after 5:00 pm and was put on hold. After coming off hold, I was told the time I was trying to book was no longer available and the soonest they could schedule me wasn't for another two weeks out.I am a new dog parent, newly moved to the Elk Grove Village area. I wanted to be able to have my dog checked out sooner rather than later, and not have to drive 20-30 minutes out to another vet, as my dog is still adjusting to traveling in a car. This unfortunately was a very poor experience I have had with the team here so far. I see the glowing reviews they get, and do not doubt once you are in you get great service, but booking an appointment to even be seen is a mess.

I have been to 3 vets and none of them were able to treat my cat without her biting but at this clinic my cat whos been aggressive is happy to allow anyone here to treat her . If ur baby doesn't feel comfortable trust them ! They dont trust those that are harmful to them . my cat is proof . She allows the staff at this clinic to do whatever is necessary . And has improved so much since they took over her care. . shes 20 yrs old and fiesty but loves the staff because they truly love animals and take care of her like shes their own

We were so pleased with our first visit to Oakton Animal Hospital. Our primary vet unexpectedly retired so we relied on reviews of friends and family as well as Google reviews. We we not remotely disappointed. The staff was friendly and cheerful. My 55lb Doodle is very curious and boisterous and the team just rolled with it! From the front desk staff to our amazing vet tech, everyone was so warm and professional! And Dr Svoboda was excellent. She thoroughly reviewed the medical records I supplied and worked with me to find a more appropriate alternative to my pup’s heartguard medication. She even discovered our previous vet had not fully vaccinated our girl. Overall I could not have been more pleased! We know we are in good hands now!

If I could give this office zero stars I would. Absolutely worst vet I’ve been to. My family put our 19 year old cat down and they waited until she was FULLY sedated to bring her out to be fully put down. It was 15 minutes she was in the back before they brought her back out to us and by then she was already gone. My dad had to knock on the door to figure out where she was because it was taking too long. When she came out she was basically gone. Her eyes were fully dilated and bulging out, her little tongue was sticking out on the side, and she was only 6 pounds so it didn’t take much or long to get her sedated!!!! SHE WAS ALONE FOR HER LAST MOMENTS AND SHE DID NOT DESERVE THAT!!!!!!!!! They waited way too long for us to get our closure (that we didn’t really get!) and say goodbye. It was not right for them the completely knock her out to the point she was already gone. The original practice was recently sold to these shmucks who do not care about animals and only care about the money. When we came to pick our baby’s ashes up, the front desk literally said “here you go!” As if I was checking out at a store. No condolences, no compassion, nothing like the family practice it use to be. These idiots do not deserve to treat animals. We didn’t even get a sympathy card!! We have had three dogs at this practice so we know what was deserving when they passed. I hope the precious vet techs and employees are doing well and have switched to a better office because they deserve better than to work under this management. Long story short, find a different vet. This practice does NOT deserve you and your precious babe’s time, money, or care. There are plenty of great practices near by. My sisters’ and I have switched over to other offices due to this nature. This office needs to be shut down. RIP to our baby girl who deserved so much better in her last few minutes.
