Zero customer service. Employees in aisles don't make eye contact so they don't have to answer questions. One Check out station open in the whole store. Hate doing self checkout. Rather pay more at Ace hardware.

I went to this Elk Grove Village store to order flooring. Kurt took my order and $35 to send someone out to measure. After the measurement, Kurt called me and told me I had to make a deposit to finalize the order. I was told to bring at least 25%. So on March 4th, i brought 701.00 cash to the store. I was very nervous because it was a lot of money to carry around. I handed Kurt the money at his desk. He counted it, and proceeded to the registers to ring up the sale. Kurt came back with a work order showing the total charge, and 701.00 deposit. I was told the total services would not be billed until the floor was delivered. I made 5 partial payments while waiting for a delivery date. Fast forward, the floor is delivered late April, however they can't install it because my floor wasn't 100% level. I am forced to cancel the installation services. Everything is refunded minus the flooring and my deposit, $701.00. Not only did I pay $701.00 cash I was being charged by Home depot credit card services the amount of my deposit minus $7.01. Kurt billed the total services and deducted only 7.01 for the deposit vs. 701.00. The store manager told me i had to take it up with Home Depot credit services. It is now May, and i go to the store showing the receipt I had with the full payment of the flooring. One problem, the receipt from register that was emailed didn't show what my floor invoice showed. The $701.00 was not deducted because of an error Kurt made. The manager at the service counter told me I had to dispute the charge with Home Depot credit card services. That made no sense. Why would the credit card services refund me cash I gave to the store. I sent an appeal and was denied. I went back to the store and demanded a Cash drawer audit for March 4th. I was told the Store manager wasn't in , and they would handle it the next day. I called and was told the Office manger would call me. I received no response. I go back into the store with all my receipts. I am told again that the Store manager wasn't in, and they would leave a message. I requested a drawer audit for the second time, and for the video camera coverage to be pulled. IT is now September and I am yet to see a drawer audit. I talked to the service manager again, and was told they would leave a message for the store manger. Nothing is resolved. I was told Home Depot doesn't require deposits and the balance due is my balance. What??? The missed the whole point of the 701.00 i handed to Kurt. The same $701 he counted at his desk and brought to the front of the store to make a deposit. I am now going to report them for theft, and for unlawful practice to the BBB. i will share this on every platform possible to spare everyone the lies Kurt told, and the management that covers them. Can you say mysterious deep pockets of $701.00????

6/2021 Very nice. Don't get here very often. The staff was helpful and smiled. I like that. Keep it up team! 2018 Nice clean place. Staff was helpful and friendly. Found what I needed as usual. Good place.

Reserved and rented a tiller to make a new garden plot. We always rent from here and haven't run into any issues. Employees are super friendly and helpful! I was talking with one guy about making a new garden bed and he suggested I use mushroom compost. We did and had a great harvest!Only suggestion is that the website tells customers when equipment reservations begin during peak seasons and when walk in rental end so that people can plan ahead.

I have never been to a hardware store before that is more organized than Home depot. You can find here everything you need for home remodeling. Great selection of paint colors and good quality which is very important. They have samples of all the products they sell. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable here. Best hardware store.

Yes, home depot has its worst reviews for the past years since most people complain about its customer service or delivery deadlines. But as a contractor, I can highly appreciate home depot because they have high-quality material for a cheaper price. They sell well-known tool brands like Husky, RIDGID, and Ryobi proved by thousands of happy customers such as myself. The staff is not rude at all infact they provide enough assistance from the recommending highest to lowest price and different quality of the brands. Their employee knows about helpful information of their products for better choice.Entering their store has its good ambiance. It is clean and organized easy to navigate different aisle in the store. I always have good deals in home depot since I can choose several brands with varying price tags. The staffs are all wearing a mask, but some customers don't follow these protocols. They are very professional in delivering the materials and don't take that long. Besides the negative reviews, I think the store is great and needs a little appreciation. They need to consider adding an improvement in their customer services. I highly recommend buying in this store they are doing just fine I guarantee.

I hope you guys didn't forget me like I NEVER forgot how you accused me and a coworker of harassing a girl employee last summer. So as of this new year, I have now removed 4 different contractor accts from your store due to your BS accusations that were completely FALSE!! Neither of us (my employee and I) spoke to or said a word to ANY of your employees until we were in the appliance dept trying to buy a few items for a client. BTW the lady in the dept even stated how we were polite and nice people but you didn't care cause you knew better right? Rather than doing your job and checking if an employee was actually spoken to or EVEN LOOKED AT for that matter. You just came out accusing us because a girl said something?? You are the most unprofessional lazy uninformed store manager I have ever come in contact with!! Since HD employs people like you the contractors who do work for me will now be shopping at Menards or Lowes, basically anywhere but a place run by a moron like you! Sad this will effect other Home Depots but as long as you are employed by them and could never be bothered to apologize I can no longer support your store. Thank you and people beware of this idiot, He thinks he's the boss man and very very full himself! He has no ability or concerned enough to look into issues before accusing people of things. You may wanna send this twit to training on how to investigate issues before jumping down customers backs and falsely accusing customers of BS things like we went through. Hope you enjoy the $ loss. It's definitely enough to notice and you will! Your welcome and I hope this hurts you the way you did us!

This location left me feeling ticked off. Ordered an item online that required assembly. They emailed to say my order was ready about an hour later. Suspicious that this seemed ready so fast I called to verify my order was actually ready. The CS agent said it was. I went to the store to find out she was wrong. The order was NOT ready. Why lie? I called for that specific reason. Then they promise to have it for me the next morning. The next day it starts getting late with no word from them so I call them up and the manager says "we don't do assembly on Thursday". This location is absolutely unreliable. Can't produce on their commitments.
