Ebel's has been a staple hardware store in South Elmhurst for decades. Some things may be priced higher than your big warehouse type stores, but what I prefer about Ebel's is there is always an employee easy to find that will assist or direct you to your needs. This is a huge time saving bonus that I appreciate and will likely always pick them over the big warehouse businesses I like to avoid.

Ideally located hardware store in the southern end of Elmhurst for quick supplies & hardware for your home of commercial space repairs….

The employees here are rude. Go across Town to Len's. You won't regret it. I'll never go back the this location unless Len or someone else takes over.

Today I drove my 81 year old father there so he could pick up a few things he needed. He goes to this store often, I waited outside for him and when he got in the car he said "hurry up home, I have to go to the bathroom they wouldn't let me use the facilities." I had already put the car in drive and proceeded to accelerate, when I stopped and said "they what?" He said the woman told him "their facilities weren't available to the public." I called and a woman answered. When I asked if she was the woman who just told my 81 year old dad a paying customer(even if he wasn't still a senior citizen) that he couldn't use the bathroom?? She replied " I did because it's broken"....So there was not one single working toilet in the entire store??? the only thing broken is this place's moral values-and lucky for her nothing else because I already left-I'll never, ever give him a ride to spend money in there again! We were long time customers-never again..and I bartend in the area and will tell everyone else I know to avoid it too! Next time let a human being use the bathroom idiots.

Giovanni! Wow is all I can say! When every other hardware store failed me, you helped me get my brand new snowblower r the day before the snow storm of the year. Above and beyond doesn’t describe it. Thank you so so so so much!

ACE is definitely THE PLACE! Very helpful Sales Associate asked if I needed help - which I did. Being offered assistance is something that rarely happens at the big hardware stores.
