Rita (A Manager?) would not give my employee simple change. I go there once per week and they give me change without asking my account #. I send my employee and they won't help him, even after speaking with me over the phone. Very Disappointing.

This bank IS NOT FRIENDLY when you connect your CHECKING account with the MARKET PLACE ACCOUNTS (like robinhood or coinbase) and i am not saying it is all branches of that bank treat consumers like i was treated today, i think it is just bad luck for maybe me that i live close to that location i am talking here about .. I was just treated like i am a TRASH today. That is how i feel now, seriously…Last week I received a letter that my CHECKING account will be closed because of high risk etc. I called, tried to talk , i asked what is the risk for Bank to having my CHECKING account and my money on it, what is going on…After all answers… - because Manager made the decision… So i wait couple days, it is Christmas time now, New Year Soon, etc etc.i went inside to talk with the Lady who is the manager of that branch. I was treated like i am nobody. She didn’t even asked me about my Name, didn't asked me about account number to at least see what is wrong, she didn’t even tried to look at the letter she sent me(signed by her, reasons of closing CHECKING ACCOUNT there—-high risk …etc) So… she didn’t give me respect at all!!! , ( no wonder why- i am just nobody who just came in from outside to ask her simple questions-WHY?) So she said NOTHING I CAN DO, SORRY,DECISION IS DONE) …(but who am i, she didn’t even ask for my name or any proof of my ID to answer me, —-wow!!!) ( Bye bye .no more risky banking with me!!! I guess, lot of risk : to deposit , withdrawal or transfer money between accounts, by the way - my own money, not a credit money, only the cash money , made by me, by my own work, money i want to spend the way i want, and because we are living times we live now, the laws and rules and regulations require us to have CHECKING account connected with ours MARKET PLACE accounts, it is s MUST !!!) (Socilal security checked, passwords, logins etc, it is not too easy after all)… plus your own risk to invest your own money and etc etc…,)So after all i was treated like a TRASH,NOONE JUST LIKE I AM A BAD PERSON (because i am using my own checking account the way it is designed for…deposit, withdraw , transfer. Atm, shopping… ) Thank you.But, funny thing is : when I opened that CHECKING ACCOUNT some time ago, I didn’t use it for a good couple of months, Bank started to charge me 5$ monthly for NOT using it. And now- because i am using it a lot because market place is alive again, the account will be terminated. ?♂️ (high risk etc etc, algorithm, nothing i can do to reverse that decision but keep the credit card sir… WOW!!!). —- Not using—- you are penalized—-(5$montly)—- when you use it too much—- it is RISKY so you out—-Hmmm… what can i do then to be OK. Maybe deposit a milion, die, and just do not left any relatives??? or hmmm…Do not authorize nobody you know( high risk) to take it over after our time is over—- Thank you Lady, you just hammered my way i see the Workd in a 2023/2024, and I wish you no costumer like me , pure devils ( risky ones), who are using his own checking accounts in a 2024 the way they want(high risk you know)And thats all. And i hope you know whay i am talking about because i didn’t see anything truthful in your eyes today. ?

This is 1 of the few banks my family has not done business with yet...to my knowledge. On Aug 21st, I went in looking for anyone who could help me figure out my ESOP paperwork. Several other banks - including my "Top 3" investment banker- claimed they didn't know anything about ESOP.Without an acct, or history of any kind, I was directed to Chris Motiz's corner office. He was kind, soft-spoken, seemed to understand the distress I was trying to hide, was patient, & didn't hesitate to help someone with no connection to the bank who walked in on a whim. In those 30min, he treated me with more respect, kindness, empathy than I'd experienced in a long time.He patiently explained the forms to me, which turned out were as easy as 1st imagined. It was the 2nd packet of forms that inserted complete confusion into a simple transaction. That packet was not needed at all.I can't put into words how him taking a few minutes of his day to be kind to a stranger, with no expectations, meant to me in that moment. I thanked him for his kindness & assured him I'd see him again soon.About a week later, I brought my 18yr old son back to open his 1st checking & savings accounts. While going thru that process, I overhead other bankers speaking with their clients, in person & on the phone. Everyone was just as human. Turns out, Chris was not a fluke. This made my decisions that much more certain. I'm looking fwd to doing more business with them in the near future.My family used the banks wisely during the 70's & 80's to increase our family funds. (Impressively so) I learned the secrets of how to grow your money by just being present & paying attention. For as long as I can recall, nearly every wknd I'd been dragged along with my mom & gram to different banks. Back when they were buzzing with ppl, twice or three times the size they are today. When we knew the ppl who managed our money & they knew us. When they would actually do what was in the customer's best interest vs their own. Or worse - just not caring at all.That's how I felt after working with this 5th Third location. That comfortably, safe sense of being able to trust someone to do you right.If I could give this location 100 stars, I would.

Trying to close a safety deposit box of my mother who recently passed. Been into bank 5+ times. I have provided death certificate, will, Letters of office. Only thing this bank has given me is the runaround. They do not return calls, if you leave voicemail.STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY!I wanted to update on this review. I went in again for what I believe was the 7th time and the very nice teller, recognized me and knew I was trying to close a safety deposit bank and she suggested I try someone different. Thank you teller and Eva E. One visit with Eva and everything was scheduled and finally I was able to close the box. Eva is the BEST!Do not deal with Thomas, I believe he thinks his job is to sit at his desk and look pretty.
