Price increases every 8 months or so for renting plus mandatory insurance increases every couple years plus a broken skylight on the third floor, covered by only tape.

we are excited to move out of our current storage unit into U-Store it! The facility is spotless, a much improvement from where we are now. Julianne was there to help us, she was very pleasant and helpful when choosing a unit and also renting a U-Haul. We highly recommend using U-Store it to store your stuff!!!

Cristy is the worst customer service possible. Find somewhere else. They act like they are doing you a favor giving you a place to rent when that’s their business. Horrible customer service and horrible place. Biggest mistake. STAY AWAY!

A Big Thank You to U-Stor-It Self Storage – Elmhurst
I want to sincerely thank U-Stor-It Self Storage – Elmhurst (877 IL-83, Elmhurst, IL 60126) for their outstanding support during my transition of moving out of the country. While I was in this phase of relocating, their services made the process smooth, reliable, and stress-free.
I especially want to recognize the two women who work at the front desk. Although I regret not remembering their names, every time I stopped by, they were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. Today, the young lady who helped me close my account was particularly efficient, professional, and kind. I greatly appreciated how she made the process quick, straightforward, and stress-free.
The facility itself was always clean, well-maintained, and secure. I never encountered any issues with the storage space or accessibility. The team at U-Stor-It Elmhurst consistently provided excellent service, and for that, I am truly grateful. If I ever return to the country and need storage again, U-Stor-It Elmhurst will be my first choice. Thank you again for all your help!

Editing my original review! This place was not friendly when I had an issue with my access code. The front desk person (not Christy) slammed the gate open and had a really bad attitude. This place advertises climate controlled but it was 85 degrees inside with carpet.

customer service not friendly.
there was no lighting in my unit - I had to use a flashflight
if you aren't moved out the day BEFORE your month is over they charge you for another month -
most of the times I went to use the restroom it was locked
I will never use them again
