Best Italian shopping in the Midwest! Only wish they put one in Wisconsin! Produce is second to none and love the items you can't find in other places like the Sicilian eggplant!

One of the best italian grocery stores in town. With so many fresh produce you can buy that other stores dont have. Thats why i come here to shop fresh produce. The deli has most of the meat brands. With different varieties of prociuttos and hams. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Love this store.

I usually come here and have a good experience. I realize I should leave positive reviews more often but today was a drag! I waited 30 minutes in the deli line to get 1 item. There were two employees on the line, and some other random kid wearing white and black, glasses, possibly Asian. I noticed there were two extra employees in the back who were probably stocking deli meats. I know the 2 deli members out in front were busy so I didn't want to bother them, even though there were other disgruntled customers who had waited less than I did. I asked the Asian kid if he can go to the back and ask the gentlemen to come help, and all he said was "they're coming". So I responded "how do you know? Can you at least ask?" He said no then had this droopy grin on his face. I never wanted to have an outburst so bad, but I stayed quiet. Waited for another 5 minutes, and that kid kept looking at me and smiling as if he was taunting me, which pissed me off even more. The person who attended me was quick and attentive and I finally left. Then I see an assistant manager and told her the situation and all she said was they're short on people. Even though I mentioned the two extra workers in the back that could have came out and helped for at least 5 minutes. Which they have done in the past so I don't see what the problem was. Now I'm late to work and always came to caputos to get my everyday needs but now I'll gladly make the extra drive to go to the fresh market. Extremely disappointing!

Generally speaking I am satisfied when I go to Angelo Caputo's Fresh Markets. Today I was waited on by a Hispanic woman that appeared to be in her late 50s. I just say this to identify the person that waited on me. she didn't greet me as they normally do and she didn't thank me either when I left today, August 15th 2023. the 7-Day sale ends on August 15th 2023. I made my grocery list out at about 11:00 a.m. today using their app. I am signed up using their app. today the only sale paper that was listed on the internet using this app was for the sale starting 8/16/23, which is tomorrow's sale. Since there was only one sale listed obviously I believed it to be today's sale 8/15/23. when I asked the cashier why today's sale isn't listed she said that's because the new sale starts tomorrow. That's not an excuse. The manager gave the same answer when I had to take some items off which I believed were on sale. Today's ad should have also been listed. if Caputo's is going to put the sale paper on the web through the app, at least put the one that ends today. Sure they can put the one that starts tomorrow but today is not tomorrow. if they continue to do this then i believe they are deliberately taking the last day's sale off to confuse people. this way they'll ring up higher prices. If this was my first time going to Caputo's I would have given them two Stars but seeing that I go there frequently I'm giving it four stars. Shame on Angelo Caputo's for misleading customers.

Can't wait to discover the tenth newest grocery store-cafe at Montrose and Harlem. It's a very long way from Ravenswood though. I won't be a frequent shopper.Lots of luck from the third generation of a grocer, but left the business finally at the end of WWII for Arizona, Hughes, and other endeavors.

Amazing fish monger selection. Love the first class produces as prosciutto san daniele, wide selection of extra virgin olive oil, pasta and several other italian products. The staff is friendly and supportive in any queries. The fruit and vegetable selection is wide, however the organic selection is limited. Great dessert area where you can find entire cakes or just single dessert, optimal for custom dinner experiences at your own home. Fresh baked bread and pizza is found often. Definitely the main grocery store I would recommend. Meat is unclear to be grass fed or without hormones, so I cannot provide feedback on the quality.

They have pretty much everything, Polish stuff, Italian stuff, Asian stuff. Not to mention, it's a pretty big store. They even have a bakery that has some amazing tasting pastries. ?

My favorite for weekly grocery shopping. Can’t wait until the Norridge location opens. Great selection of fresh produce and weekly sales on various items, huge pre-made food section, awesome meat counter with homemade sausage selection, deli counter with imported meats / cheeses, olive bar, every type of pasta, bakery, and so much more! Staff is friendly and helpful and the checkout line is never too long of a wait.

Best shopping experience I've had in my whole life! The shelves were stocked, the young man at check out was pleasant, bagged everything and payed attention. Then in the parking lot, another young man took my groceries and placed them neatly in the trunk. Oh, not to mention the best prices hands down!

I'm a frequent shopper at this store where the old Circuit City used to stand. I always seem to find what I'm seeking and they have no shortage of very good deals here. The last couple of times, I actually got bakery bread for my father so that he could make himself a homestyle sandwich for lunch. He really liked what I got. Needless to say, it's worth the trip from fresh bakery bread to freshly made sandwiches they prepare themselves. I'm looking forward to shopping the brand new store in Norridge. They have my business now in Elmwood Park. They'll have my business in Norridge when they open soon.

Still the best grocery store produce department in the area. It's been years, but when my dad heard Grand Avenue and Harlem he excitedly shouted "ohhhh Caputos!!! " An hour later we stuffed the trunk of the Prius to capacity with everything whole fresh and healthful. Lorena, thank you for being sweet and patient.
