The van was promised at noon. The manager called at 10:30am and told me the van needed four new tires before I could pick it up. Though I appreciated the new tires, I had not planned to pick the van up four hours late. The van also smelled so strongly of air freshener that I wondered what odor was being covered up. I've never rented a 12 passenger van before, but getting one that was older and not in great shape wasn't what I expected. Over all, "Moby Van" (as my family name it) worked for our needs.

Rented a luxury category. They didn't have that. Instead I got a Kia Sportage with 50k miles. What's the point of having a reservation if it doesn't hold a car?

The free upgrade is false advertising and the size car I reserved wasn't available either. What's the point of making a reservation if you don't get what you reserved.

Mike is the man. I travel alot and have been to A LOT of car rental establishments. This one is among the best as far as service and selection. Would recommend to anyone!

Rude and unprofessional!! The agent was outside yelling at someone about a rental and it scared me. I told him how it made me feel as a customer waking up and he said to mind my business. So, I asked was that how he talks to customers because I'm second guessing my rental. He didn't care that it represents negatively on whether or not I wanted to do business with Avis. He then started scold me . I just decided to leave. Dude really made this experience feel like I would be renting from a junk yard, especially the way he was dressed like he fixes cars instead of renting them. There's plenty of rental agency's near. Skip this location.

Agent was very polite and attended to needs as soon as I entered the room. Located reservation and assigned a vehicle quickly. His explanation of the fees and vehicle requirements for receiving and returning was very straightforward. My experience was hassle free and the contract issued without hesitation. Very professional. I would recommend Avis to anyone.

The initial agent at the airport location was quick and efficient, unfortunately the car smelled like smoke. I had to wait again in line for an exchange and the agent didn’t really acknowledge me and walked to the parking lot, walked to the back my not addressing me this took 15 min of standing around. The original agent saw me and jumped into action and I had a new car in 2 min. The car was in pretty bad shape on the outside. The shuttles at the airport from Avis do not start running until 6 am. My flight boards at 6:30 am which was not going to be enough time. so in reviewing options I was told I I could walk 1.5 miles in the dark with luggage. I couldn’t believe it. Complete shock at the lack of caring and concern and robotic responses. I would not recommend Avis. I travel often for work and my industry is also customer service based. I would NEVER treat a customer in this manner.

The staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. The car was clean and smelled nice. The return was quick and easy. I drove past at least 3 other shops because I heard such nice things about the Fairview Heights staff and service.

The counter help is rude, narcissistic, and does not communicate effectively at all. Will never rent from Avis again.
