This Walgreens is one of the worst I’ve encountered so far. They are always out of the most needed and lifesaving medications. They are rude the managers could care less about lying to customers to get them off the phone. My elderly mother was released from hospital and 6 prescriptions were sent to the FVH Walgreens. I called to confirm they had been received and I was told 3 of the meds would be ready in an hour. First lie I was told one of the 3 would be the needed blood thinner. The only thing they keep in stock is opioids and sleeping pills. None of this was important I expressed the need for this blood thinner medication and she lied and said it would be ready. When my brother arrived to pick up the prescriptions, he was told they did not have the main medication that was needed. He was told to call OFallon Walgreens and that is how we got medication. 2nd lie the operations manager told me was the the hospital had sent the 2 main prescriptions that we needed to OFallon Walgreens that was a lie because she told me that all the prescriptions had been received.
3rd lie was that it would be 5 hours to get the prescription ready then turned around and said it would be ready in the next 30 minutes. I’m done with this Walgreens. Next step is BBB because all my family members and some friends have been having the same issues

This place don’t deserve stars they horrible. The Manager name is Stephanie. She is very unprofessional just as her staff is, the pharmacy Dept sucks. They are unprofessional. They hire anybody and they don’t even know the protocol of medication insurance or anything and they don’t listen to Customer so you don’t get no results you waiting a line forever . They I’m I suggest no one to go to this location. They are horrible and got smart miles and an unprofessional and they tell customers the medication is not ready for certain days and the medication could be ready for that day and it’s approved for your insurance. I suggest no one to go to this location. They are horrible and got smart miles and they unprofessional and they tell customers the medication is not ready for certain days and the medication to be ready for that day and it’s approved for your insurance. I suggest you run from this location I would never support them ever again. I will never purchase anything ever again from this location

I recently had a very frustrating experience at Walgreens in Fairview Heights on Illinois street that I feel compelled to share. Unfortunately, my interactions with both the staff and the overall management left a lot to be desired.
Over the course of three days, I repeatedly faced the same issue. I was informed that my medication was available, but each time I arrived, I was met with long lines and multiple excuses as to why I couldn't receive it. It was incredibly disheartening to wait and then be told I would have to come back again, especially when I had clear communication that my prescription was in stock.
What was even more disappointing was the demeanor of the lead pharmacist. Instead of being helpful or even acknowledging the inconvenience, they seemed unprofessional and indifferent to the situation. When I finally had a chance to speak with them, I felt like my concerns were brushed off with no real desire to resolve the issue. Trust is essential when it comes to managing prescriptions, and I left feeling like I wouldn't want to rely on anyone at this pharmacy for my medication needs.
It's a shame because having a reliable pharmacy is essential for anyone managing health conditions. Unfortunately, my experience with Walgreens in Fairview Heights has led me to look elsewhere. I would not recommend this pharmacy if you value your time and the reliability of your medication.

Everytime I call the pharmacy it’s a huge wait time and when they finally answer they say they will put me on hold and then never answer again and the call drops. So I have to go in person and that’s another huge wait. I’m ready to drive further to another pharmacy cause this one sucks.

Extremely long wait time and could not figure out how to bill Tricare. Only Walgreens on planet that could not.
Because I need my blood pressure medicine, I paid nearly full retail, at least they slapped GoodRX on there.
Veterans and Active Duty with Tricare stay away, I recommend CVS across the street.

I made an appointment for a couple vaccinations. I arrived a little early, was helped quickly, and the pharmacy tech who administered my vaccines was very friendly and professional.
I then went to the pharmacy counter to pick up some OTC meds and she completed the transaction right away even though I would have been fine to wait for the other register in use to become available. I was in and out so fast!
Thanks to the pharmacy folks for all you do, the customer service today was amazing.

Used to always have a decent experience using the pharmacy here. I don’t buy much here and haven’t had issues with their general store part but their pharmacy has went downhill pretty bad. Very often prescriptions marked as delayed with an indefinite wait to be ready, only for me to walk in to “check on my script,” and then pull it out of a set of 5-6 heaping totes to give to me. Why are they waiting to mark scripts as ready? Who knows, but I’m about to start driving out of my way to avoid having to fill here because it’s always a delay for some reason or another. The pharmacy staff is friendly, but whether this is being understaffed, or trying to reduce people picking up all at once, it’s not right for the patients who need their medicines promptly.

The women working the evening of 11/11/24 were very helpful and had outstanding attitudes. Also the new location of the clock near the register is much better. It was too high before.

Came to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. They essentially lost it, couldn't find it even though it was "ready". Thankfully my prescription was in stock and one of the pharmacy techs were able to remake it. But that has never happened to me in my life. They need to get more organized or something.
