I have used Willard's a small handful of times over the years for different alteration needs. It's been several years since I have needed their services, but this morning, I dropped off a suit jacket that needed altering in time for a funeral yet this week. I will update my review when the jacket is picked up, but my experience with drop-off was pleasant, helpful and smooth. I felt that I was listened to and my needs were properly assessed. The staff appears to really know what they're doing, and I don't anticipate any issues. I truly appreciate their prompt turnaround time on my order. When preparing for a funeral, there are a ton of details to manage. It's nice to be able to rely on a trusted business like Willard's to help with those details.

I took our daughter’s $2500 wedding dress to Willards. Our daughter lives out of town so we set a date a month down the road for her to come back for the fitting. We showed up on the agreed date, just to find out they had not even started the alteration. When we went back in 4 hours it was not at all what we needed. The bra cups were not sewn in. It was way too big in the bust . The boning on the sides where it was to be taken in looks awful! The buttons for the bustle are the size of a nickel! Way too big and very visible. So, now we have to have someone else fix all of this 3 weeks before the wedding. I paid $442 for this. Worst day ever.?
The place is filthy.

My son was measured for a tux to rent for Prom and was issued a vest the was too big and pants that were too short. Looked bad and I won't go back.

I had a really short turn around and they were able to fit me in on. I really appreciated it. I'll update review when I pick up.
Update: I picked up my clothes and they did a great job on short notice during a busy season. I highly recommend Willard's!

Terrible service and Terrible workmanship. They ruined my mother's dress. The back of the dress was hemmed an inch shorter than the front and they cut off the hem instead of actually hemming it up so now it can't be undone. And the lining shows in the back because of this. I asked them to put flutter sleeves on it because it is sleeveless and they put these tight sleeves on that made the dress pull across the front and the back. I asked them to remove the sleeves. When I came back for the 3rd time they expected full payment! NOT! They have puppies running around the back and there's no greeting when you walk in the door and they chomp gum while they wait on you. The place needs to be cleaned up. Unprofessional and awful work. Will never go back and will tell my friends not to go there!

I took a couple pairs of pants to Willard's to be hemmed. They did a great job on the pants! If those pants had been the only items I had taken in to be altered, I would have given Willard's five stars.
However, I also took a coat to Willard's (at the same time) to have the sleeves shortened a bit. I asked that they resew on the buttons, and they even mentioned in the order sheet to include "stitching". I included a photo ("Before") to show what the buttons looked like before I had Willard's alter the coat. The "After" photo shows the result of the of the "stitching". The buttonholes were not replaced, and the buttons look very uneven and like they might fall off the coat. If I had only taken in the coat to be altered, I would have given Willard's one star.
So... let's average it out and give Willard's three stars, and I will go somewhere else the next time I need to have a coat's sleeves shortened.
