They are closed every day for lunch from 11:30-1:30! You can’t even put a letter in a box as they are behind locked doors and there are no boxes outside; they took those away several years ago. I went at 11:26 am, all locked up. Who knows when they actually work.

I thought they were out of priority mailing boxes so I purchased a box. On my way out I saw the priority mail boxes so I asked if I can get a refund on the box I just purchased. No refunds, that can't be a real policy.

NOTE: THEY’RE CLOSED BETWEEN 1-3 PM!! this is a standard post office. the location is fairly small. there’s usually only 1 person working up front so the line can be a minute. parking lot to the side of the building but there are limited spots. a few paid parking spots in front on the street but the street is very busy so it would be a stressful place to try and parallel park.

Good for dropping off packages, folks tend to be friendly. Limited staff and services, but overall a nice spot to have in the community.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. For nearly three years, I have dreaded coming to this USPS in Forest Park because of one employee: Ms. Venise. Her consistently nasty attitude, unprofessionalism, and combative demeanor have made every visit an uncomfortable and frustrating experience.
Most recently, on Monday, February 24, 2025, I came in to return my key for my postal box service. I was immediately relieved to see a new face—Ms.April—who was warm, polite, and helpful. I thought, finally, a smooth visit. But, as always, Ms. Venise found a way to insert herself into my transaction.
Despite April handling my request professionally, Ms. Venise came out from the back unprovoked, immediately interjecting with unnecessary remarks, arguing over whether I had two keys (which I have repeatedly told her I was never given from the prior visit a few months ago when I initially tried to close the P.O box), and dismissing my request for proof that my P.O. box was closed. She was rude, condescending, and completely unwilling to offer any real customer service.
What’s worse is that this isn’t an isolated incident. Over the years, I have consistently encountered issues with Ms. Venise—whether it was her giving me a hard time about shipping my packages, refusing to provide clear information, or outright being combative whenever I interacted with her. She has repeatedly disrupted transactions that didn’t even involve her, I’m not sure if she watching from the back, or on cameras but everytime I come in this location she jumps in whenever someone else is assisting me.
At one point, after a particularly negative encounter, she even went as far as pulling my number from a package I was shipping to call me personally, not even five minutes after leaving the location … to try and smooth things over, knowing she had been out of line. I initially gave her grace, but the behavior has continued.
I shouldn’t feel anxious walking into a post office, wondering if I’ll have to deal with an employee who seems to have a personal vendetta against me. I am a resident in this neighborhood, and this is the closest USPS to me—I should not have to go out of my way just to avoid one rude employee.
To whoever manages this location, I need someone to take this seriously. Poor customer service should not be tolerated, especially when it has been an ongoing issue for years. I would greatly appreciate a follow-up from USPS regarding this matter.
Thank you kindly :)

I love the ONE postal lady that works here. I think she does an AMAZING job running this place solo.

There's a review that says they're closed 11-12:30pm. Update - now it's 11:30 - 1pm. Presumably, they are on lunch but these hours don't take into consideration those who can only conduct business on lunch. I have to drive to OP now to overnight something, and I may be late coming back from MY lunch 🤦🏾♀️

PSA: This post office is closed in the middle of the day for 1.5 hours (11-12:30). Also, be sure to arrive more than 5 minutes before closing time. They will not serve customers even one minute past closing time, including if you arrive beforehand — they tend to lock the door early.

Went there on Friday February 9th , got the 3rd time , to my surprise, they were closed for lunch, came back spoke to Tanya, and asked her , the reason the post office was closed , this lady ignored me, requested a supervisor, she ignored me proceeded to mail my items and said hope it does not get lost , the lady got upset , and refused to take my package, incident like this happens way too often in the post office , you are there to do a job and interact with a customer, no accountability at all , and I hope the city council can step in , so that there is some type of checks and balances, whether is to hire more people for the post office, as well as see to the complaints of customers, unfortunately I can not mail my package online, this sense of being nonchalant to customers need to stop

Trying to get a dock door to get unloaded is a joke. I've sat in the yard for over 2hrs waiting.
