The owner quoted $200 for fixing the front door frame and spring (the metal machanism on the storm door that holds it open). He fixed the wood but said the old spring was installed wrong and could not be reattached to work. Instead of going to a hardware store (which is a 2 minute car ride away), bought a new mechanism, installed it, he took the $200 and left. The job was incomplete. Once called on it, he was rude and said with gas and an “Ok” from the house owner, he did what he could and took the $200.

The guy was paid $200 to fix the wood door frame and metal mechanism thats hold the storm door open. He quoted &200 for the service. He fixed the wood but couldnt affix the old spring (metal mechanism) to the storm door. He explained the it was installed wrong and there was no way to attach it. He took the whole $200 and left instead of buying a new one to install as quoted.

I never understood why someone would leave a poor review for someone who had not provided them a service but now I get it. What - a - waste - of - time. I had Phil come out and give me a quote for some work around my house. Had lots of things I was interested in having fixed but primarily concerned about some work in the basement. He showed up on time as expected. Showed him around the house for the various things I wanted fix but let me him know I was primarily concerned about the basement. He left and the next day he sent me quote. He hasn't replied to any phone calls or emails since I received the quote. Don't waste your time with this guy.

I'm extremely disappointed. I had set up dates with Novak to work on remodeling by bathroom, two months in advance to start May 13th. On May 6th I get an e-mail that they are backed up, I replied stating that I took those days as vacations, I wish they would have told me earlier to change the days as it was too late to change. Anyhow, I was at their mercy since I didn't hire anyone else. I sent a second e-mail as into when they will be able to remodel so I have an idea, not one reply or at least a phone call. So now I'm back to square one. It's unfortunate, because I had more work to be done, but I can't work with people who would reject your project to get a bigger project with more pay at the last minute. It's not ethically right, and the fact that they didn't even bother to call me and at least apologize it's simply not right. I've wasted my time waiting for them to work on remodeling my bathroom. I've seen great reviews about them, but now I'm second guessing if those are even real. No business should do that to any client at all. I simply don't understand, Phil seems to be so nice, but I guess money & greed changes people.

Phil remodeled our master shower and did an excellent job! We could not be happier. Thank you Phil!

Awesome experience. I called this morning at 7:55am for an outdoor water leak and he was at the house by 930am. He made a recommendation and then made the repair immediately. He was honest about how to perform a short term repair and then made a suggestion for long term repair. Pending approval of the work he will be back out to the house in two weeks for final repair. If you need assistance give Novak Construction a call immediately.
