Had my taxes done here by Matthew for 2 years and had issues both times.2020 - Received a bill from the IRS for $500. Called them and was told to submit the bill to the client portal, which I did. Did not receive a call back from them to clear up the bill. I had to call them a day before it was due to see what to do. Matt said I could pay it, research it myself, or he could do it, but I would have to pay him extra.2021 - $17,000 IN WRITE OFFS WERE MISSING from my business expenses. This error put me into a higher tax bracket, owing almost $7,000. This error was caught by me, not by them. Matt says it was a glitch in their software, which I believe. But my taxes were not double checked, as all the appropriate information was given to them. It was corrected quickly, which I appreciate, but I had already sent in the payment to the IRS. I'm now in the process of waiting several months to get my amended return back.

We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone for their tax preparation services. When we decided to give them a shot a few years ago, they audited our last 3 years taxes and found quite a bit that was missed on our behalf resulting in a descent size refund back to us. It's money that we would've continued to miss out on every year if we wouldn't have switched because they know the write-offs allowed for police, fire, medical personnel, etc. They are very professional and I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Been using Hawtree for years. Very busy office, but very accommodating, and with friendly staff. Personalized service, you get undivided attention during your appointment. Knowledgeable staff who are not only versed in current tax rules, but also have their finger on the pulse of what is coming up. I actually look forward to getting my taxes done as I know they will be done well.

I was referred by my next door neighbor they have been using them for over 10yrs with no problem. I used their services last year, they were prompt, a little pricey but good. They have many CPAs there. I would recommend them to others.

BEWARE! they are a fraud. I wish there was a negative star rating available. I would give them negative 5 star rating. Few things to note. The CPA took more 8 months to file my tax returns. Never returned my calls I can paste the email proof here, however it will not be professional. Then they gave me wrong information. They never told me that I could have filed an amendment to my returns and because of them I had to pay the IRS more $4600.00 dollars which with amendment I would have only paid $200.00. They not only charged me the whole fees and on top of that because I was late is making the payment, they reported it to collections because I argued with them why should I pay when they were totally unprofessional and never did what they are supposed to. Now my credit is screwed because of them. NEVER EVER do business with them again.

BEWARE! they are a fraud company. The worst CPAs I have ever worked with, They do not keep up to their own word. He had his brother in law or some relative do my taxes who took more than 8 months to complete my tax returns and on top of all they gave me totally wrong information. They made me pay to the IRS more than $4600.00. How do I know? After i contacted another CPA for next year's tax returns he informed while reviewing my past years tax returned he mentioned had I filed amendment of my tax returns I could have easily saved that money and would have only paid about $200.00. In addition because I was late in making their payment they reported my account to collections and now my credit is ruined. Now you be judge.
