Do not recommend!! I contacted this company because I had a friend use them in April. The guy came out to my place to give me a quote and it was almost $1,000 more than my friends who had the same amount of stuff than me. I was told it's because of the "summer rush." Despite the higher price, I decided to go with them anyway because my friend had a pretty good experience. I asked what the timeline would be and he said the movers would need to pick up my stuff before June 10th for it to arrive between June 19-22. I asked if it would for sure be within that 3 day period and he said yes because that's what the contract stated. Naturally I planned my move in date around that window because there was a chance they would be their on the 19th. They said they would call 24 hours before the drop off so when I didn't get a call on the 19th, I knew it would be either the 21st or 22nd, since I was told the movers had to be there within the 3 day period because that's what is on the contract. What Tim failed to let me know is that they actually can arrive later, you just get $75 per day they are late. Also... my friends stuff was picked up on a Friday and dropped off on the following Wednesday... summer rush is no joke I guess. My one point of contact, Sandra, was good at getting back to me but it was difficult for her to get ahold of the carrier to get an update on where my stuff was at. I had to sleep on an air mattress in an empty apartment for a whole week while working from home. I wasn't told until June 24th that my stuff would be arriving on the 26th (one week after the original drop off date). I got a call on the 25th saying I'm the 2nd drop off of the day and they would be arriving between 11-12. SHOCKER, they did not!! I called Jackson Moving and they said the local carrier is closed today and they don't have the contact info for the driver so they were pretty much useless. I waiting in my waiting all day for them to show up and they need arrived or just me a call to let me know they weren't going to be able to make it. They ended up calling me Monday morning saying they'd be there in 45 minutes, clearly not understanding the concept of people working full time jobs. The movers that came to deliver my stuff were very nice and helpful but overall, the process was a nightmare.

#BuyerBeware. Had Jackson Moving & Storage move my family from Illinois to Pennsylvania. The cost between United and #AlliedVanLines was minimal but thought the sales person seemed better...wrong thought. Day of packing the workers showed up about on time. I purchased coffee and donuts to help start the day in a positive way. As you may imagine there was a lot happening but, I was told these were professionals and they knew how to do their jobs...not true. Early on, I was in the garage and heard what I thought was a crash. I came back in and asked all the workers present how was everything - anything happened? Everyone answered no. All was going well. Later I fed the guys and offered cold drinks as wanted. At the end of the work day, I tipped each worker and thought it was a successful day. A little later when I washed my hands at the kitchen sink, I also ran the disposal and it mad a horrible crushing noise! Turned it off immediately and just touched the switch on for a second. The disposal made a humming noise like it was stuck. I stuck my hand into the disposal and discovered three piece of our broken dish ware. Yup. The crash I heard and no one admitted to! Immediately I called my move coordinator and received her voice mail. I The called the sales person and advise the urgency of the situation. It was Friday at 4:30 pm-ish and the buyers had a closing walk through scheduled for Monday at 9:00 am. Not much time to repair or replace the disposal. He said he could not help but would have the adjuster call me. Soon the adjuster called. I explained again the buyer's closing schedule. Unfortunately she asked me if I witnesses this damage. I didn't know we had to have people watching over each worker. Thank goodness, I had a plumber neighbor who at 7:00 pm came over and did a favor to fix the disposal. The next day the moving van arrived on schedule with a different crew to pack our possessions. Again, I provided coffee and donuts, fed the guys and provided tips at the end of the day thinking it was a better experience. Unfortunately, it was not. Some time during the pack the worker(s) slammed the front door open and it pushed past the door stop and indented the wall with the door handle. One the moving van arrived to our home in PA, we informed the driver of the wall issue. The PA unload crew seemed careful as they placed everything where we needed them. Soon we began to unpack boxes. What a surprise that the packing crew actually wrapped up the broken dish which I found pieces in the sink disposal! Next we discovered a wooden wall clock broken, flat screen TV with broken foot and cracked screen, sugar bowl with spoon stuffed inside it, broken frame of picture. I contacted Jackson Moving & Storage about this damage and completed the claim form. Soon an insurance adjuster from a local company visited to confirm damage. I have been told that moving companies are having big problems with damage and that I was lucky for all the damage. The damage was settled however, dealing with Jackson Moving & Storage has been horrible during a stressful time like moving. Because this company adjuster, customer service sucks so much, I highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Absolutely the worst company to hire moving cross country. We moved from Long Grove, Illinois to Scottsdale, Arizona and it was a nightmare!! First off sales representative quoted us a price and at the end of the moving day truck driver told us that he couldn't take everything and that our salesman overestimated our furnishings! We have a flight the next day and we had to be out! Then we find out that they took all of our furnishings back to their wear house and REPACKED every plastic container and ever box. Then we found out that they couldn't and wouldn't take everything because we were sharing the semi trailer with someone else!!! What!! I paid over $12,000.00 to move! Then they show up in Scottsdale with a bunch of stuff missing and when they repacked our stuff many items were broken. When the semi was at our new home I started unpacking items and I had told the driver that an item was broken and a ladder was missing and he told me that I have insurance and to make a claim! BS He also told me that he couldn't take any empty boxes that I had broken down! Again BS He told me that I had to call the Scottsdale office and arrange for them to pick them up for a charge of$150.00!! Our sales representative said it was a free service! After calling the sales Representative he sent me a check for $75.00, HALF of the amount which I should have not had to pay!! This company sucks and I highly recommend not to use them!

I moved with Allied Van Lines in January and had one of the best experiences with the move. Top notch customer service from the entire team of move coordinators and drivers that helped me every step of the way and answered all my questions. All of my possessions were moved safely and securely. Highly recommend a move with them!
