FYI they have a $1 Aisle that's loaded with all kind of goodies from household goods, snacks, etc. Yep everything in that Aisle is $1 buck. “Since I happened to be in the Forest Park area, I visited this Dollar Tree solely to purchase Jimmy Dean's Cheddar Cheese Omelets which I have grown to love for breakfast in the morning. Along with the omelets, I figured why not purchase other things like water, shelf stable milk, toilet paper, body spray, body soap, white bread, peanut butter, and snacks while visiting. The atmosphere at this location feels so calm in comparison to other locations I visited. The one thing that makes me feel uneasy are the panhandlers that are typically out during the late evening hours. And I must say that with there being a lack of lighting available outside contributes to that uneasy feeling as well. Dollar Tree is becoming more like Dollar General with what products are being shelved. During this visit, I could not help but admire a $5 pair of Super Soft Leggings which are the perfect lounge around wear. I swear, I will have to stay clear of that aisle in the future because I nearly left with a camouflage pair of leggings. I have been buying large bottles of water from Dollar Tree for some time now. Dollar Tree has my preferred brands in stock like Alkaline, Aquafina, Dasani, Eternal, Life WTR, and now Body Armor Sport Water which keep me purchasing consistently. Their sizes alone are perfect for the pace I choose to drink water, so Dollar Tree is my go-to choice for purchasing. Shelf stable milk continues to be an item that keeps me visiting Dollar Tree locations for. Its lifespan, price, and carton size works for me in comparison to buying out of supermarket stores. I make it my sole priority to purchase toilet paper every time I visit Dollar Tree, since it is one of my most used essentials next to body soap. Even though I would have preferred tissue by Scott Comfort Plus, I had to settle for Strong and Soft since Scott Comfort Plus was not available. "Hint, hint ", Scott Comfort Plus is the better tissue brand in my opinion. This location does have a parking lot of its own, a small lot which can feel congested at times when there are a number of visitors. If you are like me and want to avoid the uneasy feeling of a congested parking lot, there is street parking in the immediate area. Whether it be for the purchase of breakfast foods, bottled water, shelf stable milk, toilet paper, or even hygiene products, Dollar Tree continues to be my go-to for those items. “We was able to get what we needed but the wait time was crazy. The cashier ( name tag said GET) called 3 times for help and when the other cashier came she had an attitude. Before I left I let her know that she was doing an amazing job despite the lack of help.”
“The biggest store that I have ever seen! Clean, all items at their places. I was there at busy hours, around 3pm and a line was long (4-5 people before me). 2 cash registers were working and it helped to reduce the waiting time in line.”

“As a Dollar Tree it's solid, shelves are stocked and it's kept really neat and clean. The reason I'm giving it five stars is because of the wonderful, wonderful lady at the register! I wish I had asked her name but I just want her to know that I think she made everybody's day a little bit brighter and happier with her positive and kind personality! I'm coming back to this location even though it's out of my way simply because of how nice everyone is there ? Btw it's Thursday afternoon/2:30pm so the store knows about which employee I'm referring:)”
“It’s ok but just a little packed and messy inside the store but the parking lot is a mess!! OMG they really need to repave the whole lot and get extra room for more cars cuz it’s a nightmare leaving there during rush hour and if there packed there’s no where to park!”
“Great customer service, awesome cashier, ok products. I went to get a few household essentials and they were sold out, due to the time of day I went and it being Easter weekend. I also had 2 items that I wanted to exchange from 2 other Dollar Tree stores due to them being duplicate items that I'd purchased before. They exchanged them no questions asked without even asking to see my receipts. Great customer service, I will be checking them out again!”
“I am giving 5 stars to the manager, tall cashier dude that's always present, and the older woman that typically closes because these workers bust their humps!
To the contrary I want to say to the owner, general manager,etc
I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!
As a professional, please do not respond with, " I'm sorry to hear this. Please email me or please understand.... ( Whatever reason is given it is not good enough)"
In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.
I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"
Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.”

“I love this place for the simple reason that I can't see without reading glasses and I lose a pair at least every three or four days! Dollar tree offers quality reading glasses for a dollar and I don't feel so bad every time I lose a pair!! Store has a large variety of products at sometimes incredible prices. And this is the place to go for party favors and supplies on a tight budget.”

“I went to the dollar store this time at the Lombard location. I think this store is much bigger compared to the other dollar tree stores. Well I went and I found some bowls to match with the white & blue flower design plates, coffee mugs & placemats that I bought yesterday evening. At another dollar tree I went yesterday. There was this nice lady associate that helped me & took care of me earlier in the afternoon today. Her name was Genie. Thank you to her for being so kind & helpful. It was good that this nice lady associate helped me because I’m handicap now. I’m glad I bought some newspaper & thanks for helping wrap my beautiful bowls that I bought. I also bought some bouquet of balloons for Mother’s Day for my Mom & also a bouquet of balloons for my daughter too. They really have nice stuff to buy at this store. Good quality & good prices. God bless. I give Genie & this dollar tree store 5 stars.”
