“My parents used to frequent this restaurant 20 years ago and it was always the spot for italian seafood, extremely popular with the Italian community. Fast forward to now and my mom hadn't been here (nor I) since my dad passed.Three of us came for dinner recently and we enjoyed the grilled seafood, pasta with calamari, clams, mussels. Flavorful sauce. Mini panzerottis were fantastic. Seafood salad was finely chopped (unusual) and would of been better as chunky. Dinner was good. Our bill of over $200 with three glasses of wine seemed very pricey..Not sure my mom would return, but service was very good.”

“Had a great time at first visit to Short Fuse. Our server Meg was the best—a terrific tour guide through the extensive beer menu and very attentive all evening. Recommend!”

“Great theater, orchestra and talented cast, singing and dancing. The actresses including the burlesque dance scenes were perfectly cast. Couldn't relate to the story line of this play (guys and dolls) well enough to recommend it, but would love to see the actors in another play to showcase their substantial talents. And hope drury can pick more timely subject matter.”

“I had the pork chop cooked medium well with broccolini. The chop was moist and flavorful with an apple/raisin sauce. Very good. Broccolini was fresh and crisp. I also had the Red Head cocktail; much like a Cosmopolitan. Very good with just enough vodka. Topped it off with brownie sundae. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended.”

“This place offers an elevated seafood dining experience with superior ingredients, precise execution, and classic presentation. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a classy and warm atmosphere, with stylish furnishing and subtle nautical touches that evoke coastal elegance. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the lighting carefully highlighting each dish to the backlit menus for easy viewing in the lower light. The scrupulous attention to every aspect of the meal poured over to the flavors and food as well. The meticulous preparation ensured that every dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the freshness and quality of the seafood, making it the ideal place for a romantic dinner or a special celebration with friends and family.? What I Tasted: The raw Yellowfin Tuna appetizer was incredibly fresh, complemented perfectly by creamy avocado and an order of half dozen plump and just enough grinny west coast oysters. For the main course, the buttery and succulent Chilean sea bass was cooked to perfection, nestled on a bed of risotto with a ting of sweet sauce that enhanced its richness. Dessert was a delightful classic crème brûlée, providing a sweet ending to a fantastic dining experience.? Standout Feature: Turlucks excels in the little details that make a big impact. From curated flavor combinations to attentive service and exquisite décor, every aspect of the dining experience is carefully crafted. Things you never would think of, and I never seen before, like the De la paix à la résistance, innovative backlit menus and thoughtfully designed lighting provide ease of viewing in lower light (or older eyes) and most of all elevate the atmosphere and enhance the overall enjoyment of the meal.⚠️ What Was Mid: While Turlucks shines in its seafood offerings, traditional steak and sides are good but may not always meet the same high standard. For the ultimate dining experience, I recommend sticking to their seafood specialties.”

“I go to car related events .This place has improved with the world of wheels over the years. I still miss the lowrider hopping contest they used to have when it was at Mccormick Place. Maybe one day they'll bring that back”

“Regardless of a few negatives (an hour wait for a lane and lots of food items were unavailable). It was a GREAT time! The counter clerk was helpful in getting us the best deal for our games. The cashier/ server was gracious and helpful in working on getting us a drink/ food deal based on available product. They were both knowledgeable and helpful! Some of the best service I've had in a long time. Also had lots of issues with our lane/pins/ball return and they switched us as soon as possible. ☺We also got 100 arcade credits for only $30 and that lasted the almost hour wait for a lane and then a good 20 minutes after we were done bowling!Games are 1-5 credits (not bad! My favorite, skeeball was only 1 credit! )And there were lots of cool prizes too!I got a purple teddy bear with a lime green bowlero shirt for only 1000 tickets! (His name is Benny ?)About $200 spent on a family of 4 and that included unlimited bowling- (we played 3 games), 6 long Island ice teas, appetizer/ beer special and 100 arcade credits! My 11 & 4 yr old boys had so much fun- but I think my partner and I had MORE fun! ♥TOTALLY WORTH IT!10/10I would go back again and recommend to everyone!Great service. Good food/drinks. Good atmosphere. Decent prices!”

“We had a great time here. The cocktail menu was different and has Indian touch to various standard American fare.Portions were good sized and spice levels are mild. We had to specify “spicy” to get spice level to a “normal” level. They have decent vegetarian choices. But I wish they had some creative choices for veg entrees too”

“I absolutely loved my experience working with Nadia. I had my baby shower here in February and it was such a seamless and stress free process. I came with my inspiration photos and color scheme I wanted to stick to a few months in advance and The Party Spot made it happen. The price is well worth it. I only had to bring my own dj, food, and sweets.Nadia even helped keep the gifts that were received throughout the night organized. Best baby shower I could have asked for. Beyond beautiful and the best place to host an event if you don’t want to be left feeling stressed out and stretched thin.”

“A classic date night spot. Great drinks but even better food. The gnocci is phenomenal and always outstanding pizza options. The upstairs area is beautiful as well! Love it in the summer because they open the windows up and get to enjoy the outside.”

“We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. We will be back for sure when we are in the area again. If your in the area, I recommend giving this place a try!”

“This place was sick, Lan parties will live on because of places like this! Girlfriend and I had a blast being able to try Valorant and other PC games for the first time. Drink menu was large and lots of gamer themed cocktails. We will be returning with a larger group next time”

“If you need to get out the house and work elsewhere this is the place to go!! Their drinks are strong and tasty and they have seasonal drinks as well! What I was surprised about was that they also have a cocktail menu, because it's 5'o'clock somewhere right?! My son really liked their frozen hot chocolate and wants to go back for more! It's just a nice industrial space that anyone would like to hang out at!!”

“Excellent services. Great food. One draw back the speaker system was set so loud , you could not enjoy the Christmas event. For that reason, I would not have them host any of my events.”

“We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Carlisle in November of 2023. As most people, we looked at multiple venues to select the best one for our special day. After visiting several locations, we went to The Carlisle and from the moment we entered we knew this was the one. The Carlisle is very elegant with a lot of mirrors and crystal chandeliers and after meeting with the event planner we were sold. Laura Papa was welcoming, professional and explained everything clearly. She answered all our questions with great detail and made suggestions, but never tried to upsell us. We had found the perfect place for our wedding! Every time we met with Laura, we became more sure that the Carlisle was superior to all other venues. My husband to be, wanted the evening to be magical for me and magical it was! Laura and the staff at the Carlisle were phenomenal. They listened to what we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. We highly recommend The Carlisle to anyone looking for an elegant, well-run establishment to host any event. There are many venues to choose from in the Chicagoland area ,but if you are looking for a perfect experience, The Carlisle is the best choice hands down.”

“Extremely well run operation. Owners are hands-on and micromanaging which exactly what you want to see when you spend a lot of money on a special occasion. Food was excellent and hot. Service was stellar, especially George in the bar who is all class. They knocked it out of the park door my fathers 80th. Highly recommend”

“I attended an event at this establishment and it was nice and roomy. The restroom was clean and there was plenty of room in the hall for 50 or more people. The staff were nice and very helpful, too.”

“This place has been one of my favorite places to take little kids since my daughter was little and she’s nine now. I have a one four and nine-year-old and they all absolutely love this place. The indoor climbing is large enough for adults to climb through and have fun too. 2 adults get in free with a child purchase. They have a right on section that is super fun for those proactive kids and a ballroom area where you could shoot balls at each other. If that threatens you for your little one, don’t be scared there is also age grouped off sections for the little ones. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards. You can get great deals. Food is reasonable and yummy.”

“I would highly recommend fourteensixteen as it is by far the best restaurant in lagrange. The staff are amazing, the vibes are on point, and the location itself presents itself well. I got the pistachio covered lamb rack when I last went, and it was phenomenal. The dish held up well, the lamb was moist, and the sauces complimented the lamb perfectly. I also had the mango cheesecake, and I can still remember how perfect the cheesecake was. It was a perfect amount of cheesecake flavor to mango flavor. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant as I have yet to see a better one in the surrounding area.”

“The Nineteenth Century Charitable Association has captured a period in time and preserved it beautifully. The antique furnishings make it the perfect venue for a romantic wedding reception.”

“A must see! Give yourself plenty of time to see this museum. Great displays telling the Holocaust stories. They do have guides to walk you through the displays. We haven't used them, but I'd recommend using them your first time through. I've been here 2 times and haven't taken enough time to see all in detail. Make sure you plan to see the 3D Holocaust survivor exhibit. It's a hologram of a survivor sitting on a chair telling their story. You can ask questions, and they answer. Very cool. They have a VR experience. I'd recommend you go to that. However, the technology needs upgrading. It's worth going to. Overall, highly recommend you visit and great for young adults to understand what really happened. Learn from history, so this never happens again.”

“We visited here as it was on the Frank Lloyd Wright map, and although he wasn't the architect, we were still interested to see the work of one of his contemporaries. We were greeted by Theresa, who took us on a tour of the whole house which lasted around an hour and a half. Theresa was so lovely and it was an absolute pleasure to meet and be guided by her. She was so knowledgeable about the house and the families who had lived there, and my partner and I walked away feeling like we had learned so much. The house itself is full of surprises and interesting quirks, and Theresa did a brilliant job of bringing it to life for us. We absolutely loved our time there, but also feel sad that a house of such historical importance isn't receiving the funding needed to fully restore it. I really recommend taking this tour, as not only will you enjoy learning about this amazing house, you will also be helping to preserve its place in history.”
