This is not for the grocery store itself but this goes for the brat stand outside I would avoid eating their brat sausages with certain individuals that are out there cooking it I was diagnosed with a certain disease of the bacteria in my gut and the only thing I particularly remember eating was the pork sausage I do remember me stating to my girlfriend while I was eating it it didn't taste right it tasted a bit off I am now dealing with a bacteria in my stomach I will not speak of what kind when I call to speak to the manager of the facility he went and told me how they go by protocol and standard methods on making sure the food is cooked properly getting me the certain temps of the meats on the appropriate degrees which he stated 145 for the pork brats which is 100% wrong that meat should be at least $165 to 168° when it comes off the grill to kill any bacteria I 100% now know where I got sick from 100% for those that really take this message serious this is not a gash at Cub's grocery store the people that are cooking this meat outside their store are not chefs they're not licensed they are operating on the licenses from the grocery store some of them probably particularly don't know how to cook or the appropriate timing of when to take and remove the meat to be safe the brats should be boiled to be on the safe side I can most guarantee that I got sick off their brats

Slightly more expensive than I'd like but almost always have what I need in stock. Love the quality of their produce & meat most of the time too

Recently I’ve had issues of being talked down to in Walmart and have decided to try and give more of my business to cubs. My son and I were chastised about 6 months ago because my eight year old son brought in an electric scooter (it was left out in middle of handicap parking spot). We were told it wasn’t a toy and he couldn’t play on it. I walked beside him and he was very cautious. He let other shopper exit before coming in and wasn’t close to hitting anything. Don’t worry cubs. I will never bring in a scooter ever again and I used to always bring carts back left in random spots and I’ll never do that again either. Last night I went out of my way to not buy my groceries at Walmart and got the things I needed there and went to cubs to get food items. It’s bad enough that the food often cost more at your store. I decided to grab a drink in dairy on my way out. More of an impulse buy. I take a few swigs and head to checkout. I get in line to pay. It’s finally my turn and the checkout person asks if I opened the drink. I admit that I did. She says, “Don’t ever do that again”. Where do these employees get off talking to paying customers this way? I’m in my work attire, I’m jot dressed as a bum. Why do Walmart staff and some cub staff feel it appropriate to talk down to me. I’m almost 40 years old. I pay my bills, I am a family man whose family spends about $800/month on groceries. My wife shops at cubs more than I have and I only recently decided to start shopping here more. I was perplexed I asked, “Don’t do what again?” I’m thinking am I not paying for it? She drones on about how the store has too many people blah blah blah. But I’m paying for my items. I always do. Hell I’m paying for the folks that aren’t paying too because we know who pays for shrinkage. It’s the paying customers left to make up for the losses. I have known 3 employees there as great people, but I am really sick of being talked down to. If you don’t want me back because I disagree with what is told to me is your policy I’ll gladly never come back. I don’t want to be where I’m not wanted. How about your company spend resources and effort trespassing thieves and prosecuting them instead of me. And two days after deciding to do more of my shopping at cubs I’m now going to try Aldi. They have a smaller selection but better prices and I’ve not been talked down to for essentially doing what is the right thing. Unless you tell me not to come back I’ll
Use your store when the others are closed because your store is clean and your hours are amazing. I couldn’t find my receipt but here’s my spending from last night when I got off from work.

Unfortunately, this is my neighborhood grocery store and unfortunately, this is the third time this has happened when something is on sale and as I’m reading it up, it is not bringing up the sale price even after I put in my rewards number. customer service lady at checkout check the sales ad and said that they are not on sale I go back to the produce section took a picture of the product and sure enough it was Reane about $.77 each even though they were on sale for $.58(special) it’s just so sad that even in this economy when things are so high in priced grocery stores are still trying to rob you. check your receipts and check everything.

This is my go to store in Freeport.
I might pay a little more at times...but they always seem to have what I'm looking for...and more. I love the options without having to go to bigger stores!
A big plus also...if you ever buy flowers, Cubs is the place to go!!
The staff is always friendly, and will go above and beyond to help!

Full grocery for special items not available at Aldi.
They have 4 self-check stations which I prefer. Other regular cashiers for those that prefer that.

Stopped going. A staff member that I've never met continues to make me feel so uncomfortable with her rudeness! Hope she gets a better attitude or simply gets fired.
