Very pleasant, all my questions were answered. They were very accommodating to the comfort of the animal and myself. The establishment was very very clean! Thank you for a wonderful experience looking for my new forever family member!!

Waited for weeks with no response so I called. Person was rude, wouldn't give me a straight answer, hung up on me. Watched as the dogs that I fell in love with got adopted to other people, which I understand happens. This rescue seems to have forgotten its mission. When they make it such an unpleasant and unproductive process, people stop trusting and supporting them. Unfortunately, the animals pay the price in the end. They need to be reminded about humanity and stop justifying their failures. Way too many complaints for them to think they are doing the best they can.

There's are hundred of cats I reported to them and animal control and they will not do nothing about it Woodridge god knows animal control is only for the rich neighborhoods these people don't care about animals 😤

I have never been to a more friendly and clean humane society. Everyone was so helpful and you can just tell ALL the animals there are so loved.

Came for a meet and greet and brought my own healthy dog with me a dog and wasn't told the kennel has kennel cough. Thanks to them I now have to wait 7 days to see if my dog will have it. Do not trust this place

Never received a call back regarding my application. I called them but just kept getting informed I’d get a call back and would be notified if us or someone else got approved for the dogs we were interested in. We were interested in 3 different dogs yet never received any information. Wish I had read all the other reviews regarding no call backs before I made two 3 hour trips to visit the shelter.

Sorry to say having adopted Many cats and dogs through out my 76 years this by far was my worst experience, waited over two weeks to be approved to adopt a mature cat. The night we brought him home he was sneezing, next morning his eyes were dripping, took to out vet within two days, $380 later he is on the road to recovery. We also applied to adopt a dog at the same time, were told an adoption was pending, we never heard another word from them. Would highly recommend the Rockford rescue they care as much for the animals as the rescuers

My husband and I just adopted our second dog from Friends Forever! Let me say that these people are THE BEST! Carol is awesome, and everyone cares for the animals as if they were their own. They spend the time and make sure the pet you pick is right for your situation. The first pup we looked at just didn't like our current dog. When another was introduced they both hit it off like old pals! Carol made sure we had the right girl for our family. You would not know that you are walking into a pet shelter. You will not get that smell that always seems to be a give away that they are not a clean place. Thank you Friends Forever for giving us two wonderful girls to give our love and home to! ❤️❤️❤️
