“Upon entering the store, you are hit with the pleasant smell of wood. I could spend all day here looking at the little trinkets and old books. I wish we had a store like this in my area. The store is also larger inside than you might think. It just keeps going and going.”

“Friendly people, great prices. It’s a really cool shop with a lot of variety. We bought a bench, an owl that flaps in the wind, a rooster, there’s so much to choose from”

“I can't say enough good things about La Belle Epoque. Neal was extremely knowledgeable about the types of items I needed appraised and took the time to thoroughly inspect each piece and provide detailed information on its history, quality, and value. What really impressed me was Neal's level of customer service. He answered all my questions with care and patience. He went above and beyond by providing fair pricing, advice, options, and other resources. We never felt rushed or pressured.Overall, Neal provided an appraisal service that exceeded my expectations. His expertise, professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to customer satisfaction are outstanding. I now have a trusted resource for any future appraisal needs. I highly recommend La Belle Epoque!”

“My wife and I aren't professional antiquers. But we love to browse through antique stores while on vacation. Just like we love to browse through book stores. And if you have a passion for antiques, you are encouraged to visit historic Galena, Illinois, which features as many antique stores as it has restaurants and boutiques. One of the finest is Tin Pan Alley Antique Mall. Located at 303 South Commerce Street, across from the historic Galena Post Office, it has been in business for 25 years and is open from 10 to 5 daily. Specifically, it specializes in a unique collection of 1800s antiques, which are increasingly difficult to find today. On one of our visits, we uncovered a Sterling silver napkin ring holder with a family signature dating to the mid-1800s, which rounded out my wife's extensive collection. Other items on display are hand-crafted folk art, pottery, Victorian toys, French and English furniture, vintage garden collectibles, vintage jewelry, original artwork, architectural remnants, kitchen ware, fine china, vases, handbags and sculpture. If you have the time--you're on vacation, aren't you?--it's fun to browse through the aisles and discover something you weren't expecting to find.”

“The folks here let us deliberate over a wedding band a few minutes past closing, they didn't pressure us to make a purchase, and were so excited for us when we made a decision. Very thankful for the nice experience they gave us”

“Second location with even more cool stuff. Lots of books hidden in back, which they apparently have 30,000 of, more than the local library! Small rooms with themes and groups of items. Very unique and well curated, a top notch antique store.”

“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! The workers are nice and the antiques are very cool and well priced. I just bought a beaver skull and it was only $28. Some other places Ive gone too would have tried to sell it for $50. Overall a fun experience and theres a little bit of everything there for everyone.”
