Room was big. Bed comfortable. However we only got 2 bath towels. So asked 4 more when we went out 4 the day. We were gone about 7 hours. Room was not tidy up & we had 2 ask 4 towels. Breakfast was just ok. Not much choice. Really liked the pool/hot tub area & the deck.

This place really does have great landscaping and flower gardens. They also have large property in back of the hotel great for a leisurely walk. Or, you can look out at the property from the wrap around patio. The pool and hot tub we're also very nice.
Rooms: Our room had a nice comfortable bed king size and seemed to have been renovated very recently.

We went for a 3-night stay to visit Galena and Dubuque for a getaway. Room was beautiful, comfortable and everything worked great. We had a King Studio and it had 2 sinks which was convenient. The grounds behind the hotel are beautiful. Breakfast was good and they even had china to use. We will definitely come back for future visits to the area.

I wish 0 was an option. We showed up to room 109 for $249. As we opened the door the smell of mildew/cat pee was thick. We politely asked for a new room but there were none. After some back and forth the employee offered half off the room. It felt fair so we agreed. We woke up with sore throats and my kid slipped on the water in the bathroom from the leaking toilet. Close to check out we were then quoted a charge of $190. I asked for a manger to discuss the situation and manager Julie came out swinging. Lead by accusing me of yelling at the staff and then telling me she hasn’t slept yet from last night. Said there’s nothing in the notes about half off. Refused to contact the employee. Just ann all around sad and pathetic hotel. Look elsewhere.

Very nice and clean hotel with great amenities like a pool, jacuzzi, gym, and a terrace with a beautiful view. Free parking and breakfast are a plus. The rooms are spacious and equipped with comfortable beds, microwave, kettle, and a mini-fridge. We loved the spa area and thoroughly enjoyed our massages. It is located 6 minutes from the Main Street by car. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

Nice hotel in decent condition. Good hot breakfast with hot eggs, sausage, pancakes. Delicious potato with sausage option. Pancake machine. Pool is very nice. Long lap swimming pool and nice size hot tub. Room is typical with regular hard hotel beds but clean and well kept. Nice they have one sink in the bathroom and one outside. And two hair dryers, nice for multiple ladies sharing a room. Weird thing here is no early check in. Or you can for $25 per hour early. I’ve never seen that before, but I’ve never stayed at a Wyndham before. Seems unnecessary. Was here June 21, 2024. Would stay again if the price was under $200.

The rooms are large, modern and extremely clean. The breakfast was good and the overall ambiance was fresh and light. Staff were friendly and attentive. A very pleasant stay.

This was outside of the main areas of galena so it was quieter. This hotel was probably the best sound proof hotels I've stayed in. We only heard people once or twice. The breakfast was phenomenal each morning with choices for everybody. The beds were a bit too firm but not rock hard. Will stay here again if we go back to galena.

My boyfriend and I had a big mixup with our original plans when coming to Galena, we were going from hotel to hotel, calling different hotels just trying to find a room, until we walked into Wyndham. We were greeted by Chet, he was very polite and friendly and was very nice, it is what my boyfriend and I needed after our mixup with our original plans. We are definitely going to consider staying here again when we come out in the fall! We enjoyed everything, just wished there was more options for people with allergies food wise other than that the stay was amazing!
Rooms: Comfortable bed, lots of room and space.
Nearby activities: Galena about a mile or two away

Amazing staff, great breakfast. Clean room, great pool/hot tub. The outdoor deck was so nice a peaceful.

Very nicely decorated updated colors nice bar salon large swimming pool clean hot tub, would definitely stay agian, felt a bit sorry for the guy bar tending and attending to front desk, very thin on staff but he had a good attitude. I'd like to know where the owners are and maybe they should step in and help out ? Not sure whats going on with being short staffed continly
