Just went there to have a nice lunch with my boyfriend. Got seated and sat there for 20+ mins with no service. Multiple waiters walked by and ignored us. Even watched staff point out way to a waiter and they laughed and walked the other way. Have never been treated so poorly

Beautiful place for a sunset dinner. I always try to eat outside for the view. My favorite is the Margherita pizza on a cauliflower crust. I've never found a better cauliflower crust.

Love this place very much. The food is awesome. The wait staff is usually excellent but tonight not so good. Had Mariat as our waitress. She took our order and we had to wait for quite a while for our food and we saw her again when the bill came. I will still come here but will sit in a different section.

Beautiful view of the Mississippi River, very kind and helpful waitress as well as delicious food. We both had the fried walleye. Iced tea was perfect!

It was a spectacular experience. The remote location was perfect to disconnect from the everyday routine. Yet Downtown Galena and other worthwhile towns are still in close proximity. The views and sunset were outstanding. The summer activities are great. The staff were very accommodating! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend it!

Nice quiet getaway. Highly recommend traveling during the day. Front desk staff sit inside the office looking at the computer not welcoming. The male restaurant manager made eye contact at me and I spoke he did not speak. It would be nice for the resort to invest into more signs/lights for directions to the resort. Rooms can use some updates. Bring your own golf balls $5 per person for a ball. Bring a coffee pot, cofee, sugar and creamer. Removed the carpet near the pool area. The owner need to invest and update this resort. I should had read the reviews, I noticed the owner as not responded to none of the concerns addressed. One visit not future visit at this resort.

We arrived at 7 PM and left at 7:45 PM between the time we arrived and the time we left, not one server acknowledged us, visited our table, or took our order.

Very enjoyable stay. Room was clean and met our needs. Pool and hot tub were nice. Sauna wasn't working. The view is great and we will definitely be back to try the skiing. Galena was an amazing town and really worth the trip!

The skiing was great for our group of beginners through experts. I'd love to say I'd come back here - and for a couple days of skiing - I totally would. However, I could not say that I would stay here again. The resort itself needs a major renovation. It's very run down. The rooms were clean, but they are so old and dated that despite it being clean, it just felt old and musty. There is no housekeeping if you're only staying one or two days, but the housekeeping staff I encountered in the halls were super nice about giving me some extra towels or taking our used towels and make sure to ask if we were ok on toilet paper and shampoos. The pool and hot tub need major attention. It was old and smelly and my kids didn't even want to get in the water because there appeared to be a weird film on the top of the water. There was an old drink cup growing mold sitting by one of the chairs near the hot tub, and there was a very musty smell in the whole pool area. We turned around and left immediately. The restrooms by the pool were marked "out of order" just like the restrooms near the downstairs cafe. The downstairs restrooms were blocked off by a dilapidated and really filthy trashcan unit. Things like this added to the run-down feeling of the place. The staff fell into two categories: delightful and competent ... or annoyed that they had to stop scrolling through their phones to help you. The restaurant upstairs had great service and good food. Two breakfasts and a dinner were all really good. The downstairs cafe was terrible. Both days we came in to grab snacks, the food had been sitting out too long or was cold. Way overpriced for really terrible food in the downstairs cafe. Skip it for sure. I wish I could say better things about this place. It has so much potential and could be a real gem if it was updated.

Loved our time there with family skiing and places to watch. Loved eating Breakfast in dining room. Only downside is no elevator. And next time we hope to stay on 2nd floor of main lodge instead of the annex.

We’ve been coming to this resort for over 40 years. It’s where I learn to ski and where are we taught our daughters to ski. We had multiple snowboard lessons this year, and each of the instructors were fantastic. While the accommodations are modest. We had everything that we needed. The staff from the front desk to the dining room we’re all excellent. We are grateful for this little gem.

Excellent family ski lodge. This was our 4th family trip. My wife loves the clean well kept Bavarian lodge with great food and reasonable prices. Staff is super friendly. I am a veteran and they give a discount. Children love the pool and hot tub after a day of exercise on the slopes. Dad loves selection of draft beers. Food is awesome. Kids favorite is the pizza! They have a ski Cafe also on lower level. Mom is not a skier so she drive into town for some Christmas shopping. Also good restaurants downtown. Now here is the best. Many ski places you tend to lose kids on the slopes...or if one wipes out the rest have to wait around. There is a beginner area called rookies ridge that you can view the whole slope and kids can just play there all day. At the bottom dad can duck out and hit the black diamonds and lift back right to rookies and immediately spot kiddos. I can't say enough about the benefits of this ski run layout. Also across from there is a great terrain park called far side. There is also a beginners conveyor that runs along the resort. Good expert terrain like warpath and mineshaft. I've seen the instructors and they are a 10 with the lessons. Zero lift lines. 475 vd. Beautiful view of Mississippi Valley. Highly recommend as best in midwest and I've skied just about everywhere.

The one and only thing I can say for this place is that the view from the resort IS beautiful. However, when you want to talk about the actual room, the actual stay just don't do it. The place is in terrible need of renovation, The rooms are massively overpriced, there are no amenities, no breakfast, the food that they tout as excellent is reheated bar food at best. Save your money for the overpriced vending machines because it is the only good meal you're going to get. Both my room and several others in our party, found wasps in our rooms even though the windows have screens and had been closed all day. When I turned on the shower the water was tinted pink for a good 90 seconds...not sure what that was about. Two people from our party (both in the same room) came home with what looked like bed bug bites on their legs. For the amount of money you would spend on a two night stay here, you could just get a really beautiful Air bnb. Galena was a nice place to visit and we had a good time walking around, but I just cannot forgive the money we spent vs what we got.
