The Galena Inn, formerly the Victorian Mansion, is a great place to stay for a fun weekend getaway. The mansion is very nice, with an impressive interior that is beautifully decorated with a mix of antique and modern. Rooms are large, very good, pretty, and comfortable with very comfortable beds, soft sheets, plush towels, and nice showers. Guests get a feel for the 1800s coupled with modern amenities. The relaxing, quiet setting is high above Main Street. The location is great and close to the main events and historic downtown area, though it is a very hilly walk that includes about 200 stairs. The wrap-around porch is a peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy in the evening. The terrific and wonderful innkeepers are very kind and accommodating, sharing tips, history about the mansion and village, and recommendations for where to go. Morning breakfasts are delicious and do not disappoint, with a really great breakfast including mimosa. The inn is a great place to land after a busy day exploring the area, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Great place to stay, Fun history and close to the main events...just a bunch of stairs. Very nice and accommodating breakfast.

High above main street but fairly easily accessible by stairs. Mansion was very nice, hostess was very kind and told us lots of history about the mansion and village. Rooms were very good, beds too.
