This is a lovely resort/hotel. It could use a little attention to certain details to spruce it up and modernize some aspects of the rooms and facilities. But, overall it was a pleasurable experience. Just outside historic Galena, Illinois this offers a terrific respit from sightseeing and outdoor activities with small kitchens, a beautiful pool/spa area and even a washer and dryer available. Quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly. We'd go again. (Hopefully next time they've polished it up just a bit!)

Overall a good experience. However, we did have some complaints. Our toilet constantly ran and even overflowed one night. The pool was WAY too cold. We still swam every day and were happy to have that and the hot tub, but dang it was freezing. Nice other amenities like a ping pong table, pool table, arcade area, trivia night, popcorn, etc.
The location is also just fine if you're looking to golf next door or go into Galena.

Mike was at the front desk when we checked in. He was very helpful with locations, our technical difficulties with our phones/I-pads and picture taking. This nice young man needs to stay in a customer service environment..WorldMark should be very pleased with him and do their best to retain him. He is an amazing asset to the company...

Great Hotel/Resort with a nice pool, jacuzzi, and some pretty views. They also have a game room, a gym, and a barbecue or grilling area with some seating. Nice friendly staff and very clean rooms as well. No breakfast served, but each room has a full-size to half-size kitchen depending on the size of it. Recently renovated and a nice location for a vacation or tourist stop. Decks attached to every room. About 10 minutes east of Galena, IL.

My wife and I stayed here about 17 years ago. Unfortunately, the room doesn't appear to have been upgraded since then. It was clean, but the bed was horrible, and the shower door was not working properly. We decided to leave early rather than stay the time we had reserved.

All the staff was phenomenal, and the rooms were very clean. My family and I went during the week, and it was very peaceful. They have a small gym, an indoor pool, which was nice.

Just outside of Galena so it is easy to take day trips downtown! In town you can find many interesting shops and restaurants to visit. If you like history you can visit President Grant's home and take a tour for a small donation ☺️. The docent we had was very knowledgeable about the Grant family.
