Front End: Every time I have been to this Hy-Vee my items get bagged completely wrong as if nobody has been trained. I have to consistently rebag my own items and a couple of times I’ve had to bag myself. It’s not a hard concept. Don’t put certain things together such as dairy and meats because of cross contamination and if you do then meats need put in their own bag before they are put in the bag with the dairy. Don’t mix heavy and canned items with softer items. Don’t overfill bags but don’t just put a couple small things in a bag to where you have more bags to carry than necessary. Majority of the time I see what appears to be leaders or management standing around the service desk when they could be doing their job and watching the front end to make sure things are done correctly. It makes the store look incompetent at that point.

We went to Hy-Vee today for lunch on East Main Street. It is in serious need of a good manager and a deep clean. The prep area was disgusting! The hot food case was really empty and we were there at noon. There were 3 or 4 employees having lunch for over an hour and I'm sure they probably only get a half hour. We felt sorry for the 1 employee who was trying to do everything! The metal silverware was filthy. This used to be a really nice store. What has happened? This a holiday weekend...they should have been on their A game. Please, don't tell me it's because of Covid!

The pharmacy is the worst I have ever had to deal with. The male working there with long hair is rude, short tempered, and terrible at his job. I chose the pharmacy because I had heard great things about them. In the 5 months I have had them, they have managed to mess up EVERY SINGLE TIME I have an RX sent in and it is ALWAYS my or my sons psychotropic meds. Meds that we need to function and live our lifes. Meds you cannot go cold turkey on. I will be pulling myself from them and moving to the Hyvee on National Blvd. which is a HUGE inconvenience, as it's literally all the way across town from me. But hey, maybe I will actually get my meds on time!

I had my Covid vaccine today. It was very busy and the lines were very long. Not the staff’s fault! Even though the Pharmacy and Covid shot giver were very busy they were extremely patient and courteous to all patrons I saw while waiting in line. I felt bad for them for being so busy but was pleased with how well they handled it.

Went to HyVee East Main today around 3 pm. I got in line to checkout and customer was not wearing a mask. I asked the clerk if face mask was required. She said yes, but store manager says to not enforce it because “money is more important” than requiring masks. The clerk said she’s worried about her health and anyone else shopping at East Main HyVee. Needless to say it’s my last trip to this HyVee and I’ve shopped there since they opened. Former store manager Dave would never have allowed this to happen.

I went there today and saw how everyone is working so hard in these rough times. I found everything I was looking for. I think your employees deserve a gift card. I saw the stress in they’re eyes but they keep plugging away. Very impressed

It is awesome to see you're store going above and beyond to protect both costumers and staff in these tough uncertain times... that being said the signage at the end of the checkout lanes asking customers to stand behind the line to give space to the customer currently at checkout are ill placed and easily missed. Yes, we try to give each other space and stay 6 feet away, which by my calculations I was from the gentleman in front of me, as I stood at the end of the belt but
