I’ve been coming to this location because the service that I received in the St Charles location was so poor. (Read that review below) I walked into the store to get some glass cut for some cabinet panels. I didn’t even reach the counter and the guy is shouting at me “MEASUREMENTS??” No, I have the actual glass panel and I have the wood panel of the other cabinet. He didn’t even let me explain it before he let out I CAN’T DO IT. I brought the actual glass panel and the wood panel from these cabinets because they are old and the measurement might not be precise. I mean, we’re in a hardware store. You don’t have a Measuring tape? He was very rude, very full of himself. I wanted him to cut the glass and make sure it fits before I left. I didn’t even get a chance to explain it. He just said I can’t do it. Then he got offended when I got mad at him? I used the F word, I was so very insulted. I had called previously to coming out here and they said they would cut glass for me.

I had a very bad experience at this Ace yesterday. I was trying to buy a good fan and the lady there was so rude to us. She was very aggressive, verbally rude, selective hearing, and definitely does not care about their customers. Instead a super nice customer helped us instead. He went out to his car to grab a battery for us to just try a fan before we bought it. He was super nice and polite. If he worked there we would have bought it, but then the lady came back she continued to be rude and interrupting us trying to ask questions, so we walked out not buying anything and will not be going back to the Ace until she is gone again. She was fired from there before. Why rehire her? We ended up buying from Home Depot instead. They had super helpful young people that answered all our questions and found the best deals too. That Ace lost $550 from us buying elsewhere because of that lady.

I came to the Geneva ace because the Batavia ace didn’t have a big supply of what I was looking for. This was 2 Sundays ago, I was greeted by Brian he was nice but wasn’t truthful about the stihl leaf blower I bought. I brought it back Saturday because it didn’t work, the manager Tracy was nice. I came back today because I was told that the model I bought is a hard start and there’s issues with it, which Brian never told me that. Get greeted by Dan after waiting for 10-15 minutes and he treated me like a moron, terrible customer service!!! I exchanged it for a better model hopefully! Ace in Geneva needs to work in their people skills! I’m in sales too and if I treated a customer the way I was treated, I would lose my job!!!

I had a great experience here. I was looking to buy a grill for my father for his birthday and the staff was very helpful with the process of buying it and having it delivered. They were even able to deliver it the same day. Very satisfied customer.
