Rooms were very dirty. Here with my soccer team for a tournament for the weekend and several families had to ask for different rooms, unfortunately those rooms were in the same condition. Nobody's ran a vacuum here in a very long time.

There were bugs in my room this morning when I turned the lights on. When I reported it to the front desk and asked if it was a cockroach the employee replied that it was a bug from Nepal and he would get an exterminator out right away.

No front desk attendant for over an hour. Phone in the room didn't work. Called the hotel on my cell five different times and never an answer. Tub was dirty. Bed was very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, one of the worst Hilton properties.

Old. Poor service at front desk. Manager was absolutely no help. Smelly halls and room. Lobby is disgusting. Stink bug infestation in stairwells and hallways. Maintenance department uncooperative and Ryde. Housekeeping Elli was the only bright spot. She was dedicated helpful and the only gem in a pile of trash.

After living in the Glen Carbon area for over 30 years, we moved away and came back for two nights and decided to stay here (we almost always stay at Hampton Inns when we travel). We should have read the reviews. This place didn't answer the phone and could barely find a worker at the registration desk. We requested extra towels and didn't get them. We requested a trash can and didn't get one. The glass shower doors wouldn't glide properly making it difficult to use the shower (just left it open while showering). There usually are toiletries in the bathroom, but not this time. Only chair was at the desk so one of us had to sit on the bed while the other one sat in the chair. This will be our last stay at a Hampton Inn as they have gotten progressively worse.

Safety: Always stayed here during my daughter's SIUE years. Very clean and safe hotel. No stale smoked rooms or bugs which are huge issues for me. Closest hotel to the campus, so very convenient location for us. There's a gas station with a large variety of anything you may need across the street. It's right off the highway so location is a plus. I recommend making reservations, especially during October when the University has its family weekend; if I recall correctly there's a conference in town that same week and they're booked! Would always stay here if I had to visit the area again.

Room servicing had to be requested before any service was performed. Bed linens change only on request.

I’ve stayed at a better hotel for less money. Used lotion bottle and broken furniture and trim. At least the bed was clean

So basically we were in room 202 and our next door neighbors were terrible neighbors. It’s 12:00 they start blasting rap music all night. Then 2:30 through 4:00 they were yelling cuss words and banging on doors. They said we’re leaving tomorrow night cause they got kicked out. We saw them walk in the next night. The front desk person said they worked there! Then we move rooms to 131 air conditioning is not working we move rooms again and no shower curtain. And by the way the smell is omg.

This is the most horrendous hotel I have ever stayed in and I average 30
hotel stays a year. We arrived a day early for a busy conference to allow our son to swim. It started with the pool being closed “for cleaning”. We placed some items in the fridge and discover a used icepack with bloody gauze attached. Should have been a red flag to run. However, we quickly unloaded and left for dinner/shopping. Upon our return we realize there are several species of dead bugs throughout the room. Next, we find some kind of animal feces under the desk. At that point they offer to move us to the 3rd floor which was under construction and looked like walking through a horror film. There was trash stacked 3 ft high by the elevator. Room was a little better but top sheet was stained, the bathroom had no toilet paper and used toilet paper behind the trash can. Bathtub had pubic hair in it. The manager gave a 50% discount however we should not have paid anything and would have moved for the night but could not find vacancy near us. We did move the next morning to a Hampton in a nearby town which was outstanding. I will never return and will be sure our very large organizational partners follow suit! Just horrendous!
