My experience there was amazing! The teller was so sweet and helpful! I am surprised that they have such a low overall rating. Highly recommend!

Terrible customer service. I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to cash a check here, and then the experience was twice as bad for my wife. The DMV instructed her to renew her drivers license online and print out the temporary license until she got the permanent one in the mail. So she had to cash a check and went here and they did not want to accept her temporary drivers license. Finally, after having to talk to the manager and produce multiple other forms of ID, they did cash a check for her, and she has a profile on file with them. Today, she went to cash a check with them, and again they gave her a hard time about the temporary license. After 10 minutes of not hearing anything, and then having them come back to tell us they couldn’t cash it, we left. When you do what the DMV tells you to do , and then some other entity won’t accept it even though the state government accepts it, what is a person supposed to do?

Pathetic place to bank.

Worst possible customer service experience ever. We received a certified check from the US government for our tax refund. It was larger than the amount we could deposit in our online account digitally. So my wife, a long-standing member of Regions Bank took it to the bank, presenting ID, to physically deposit it. When she did, they put a hold on the check (both of our legal names were on the check and she had my permission to deposit it on our behalf) until such time as I could come in and prove my identity. I wasn’t concerned about this because, hey—identity fraud is a thing. However, when I came on-site to prove my identity and, presumably, give my permission for the check to be deposited, they required me to SIGN A FORM WAIVING MY RIGHTS AS AN INDIVIDUAL TO PURSUE ANY REMEDY AGAINST THE BANK— no matter what they did with my property from that point on. I literally could not get my property back until I signed away my legal rights. They would not simply give me back my check, issue me a certified check for the amount they were holding (again, certified check from the US GOVT) or otherwise return my property they were holding unless I signed their waiver. If I did not, they would hold my property for no less than thirty days before returning it, with no promise. Even though I did eventually sign it (under duress—I had no choice they had my money!), they still couldn’t give me my property back until the following Monday or later— property they had no legal right to hold or seize once I proved my identity.Forcing me to sign away my legal rights in order to receive my property (after proving my identity in person) isn’t only bad customer service, it’s potentially ILLEGAL.When I asked to speak to a manager, they told me I had to speak with someone in their back office. When I asked to see that person, they then told me I needed to come back on Monday (office had closed for the night — by then it was 4:50pm). When I mentioned I would wait on site until I could either talk to someone that could help me or get my property back — they threatened to call the police in front of my wife and daughter. I’m a big guy, and I was making my point forcefully, but I was far from belligerent…. It was closing time and rather than help me, they wanted to leave. Must happen a lot. They simply don’t care about losing my wife’s longstanding business, nor earning mine. We’re just numbers. I truly feel sorry for anyone who banks with this bank if they EVER are truly in need. Simply BANKING with them created a situation where we surrendered all access to our funds for over a week, forced me to take off work early and sign away my rights holding my property ransom unless I did. What if this had happened to my elderly father…? What if we needed immediate access those funds ASAP to cover debt, rent, etc? It’s just not right! Think twice. I can see why their rating is so low on Google and multiple other sites.

Well I can say I agree with the rest of the people on here leaving reviews about this bank being poor. I just recently opened up a Regions personal and business account to start using, but was planning to wait past the 30 day period before using it full time. I got a check from a friend to pay back a loan he owed me, and decided to deposit it into one of those accounts to start building activity. It declined letting me use the immediately available option for a fee. So than I decided to try again and use the regular deposit which took. Shortly after I did that I got locked out of the accounts and couldn't login my mobile banking or app to access things. Called their customer service number and apparently they couldn't even access the accounts or so they said and told me it was a branch lock and that I needed to go to a branch to get it unlocked. Went to a branch and spoke with a teller who didn't know what was going on and so they had to call Regions about it. When all was said and done they said because this was the first check I had deposited and for the amount it was being deposited that it had bounced back, and that they were going to permanently close both my personal and business accounts I had just opened up for good. Also that I would not be able to reopen accounts with them. The banker said that the only person who could override that would be the branch manager. He was gone for a lunch break and would call me back when he came back in, never happened. Since I never heard back from him that day I decided to call back myself the next day since it was already past 1pm. I finally reached him and he offered no assistance or consideration in wanting to override that decision and keep my accounts open. It's such a shame and pity over a relative small amount in comparison to what I normally transact with, that they decide to close my accounts and lose out on all the business they could have earned. By the way the branch manager kept saying he "understood" which he clearly didn't, and was of no help whatsoever nor did he try to be. Pity how these banks and people in charge of them work these days. The banking system honestly is broken. I probably dodged a bullet when all is said and done and probably for the best.
