Signing up for a storage unit was a breeze- I did it online in less than 5 minutes. And after a call from a service rep, we were ready to go! I got a 4 month online introductory price, then my price will go up to their regular price. But those 4 months at a discount made it a good deal!
The Glen Ellyn location was super clean, nicely air conditioned on a really hot day, and our unit was easy to locate. I had some questions, and the staff in the office were super helpful. Overall a 10/10 !!!

Don’t rent from this place!!!! Total scam!!! Been renting here for a couple of years. The facility is clean but what they do to loyal customers is outrageous!!! Sure they lure you in with a great quote and rate but that rate is only good for 3 months. Then they jack up the price by $50-$75. Then you have that new rate for 6 months. Then it is jacked up again another $50-$75. Then it happens again. Meanwhile they tell you it is being competitive for the market. That is total BS! This is Extra Storages business model. They don’t tell you that. This happened to me twice now. I went from a bigger unit to a smaller unit and just like clockwork my rates went up. I should have listened to the person when I was moving in as they told me about the scam but I didn’t listen. Listen to me and rent somewhere else!!! See the other post talking about their rate hike! Just like them they have the same unit size advertised for less. If so then why can’t you give me that rate and keep me at that rate. The whole let’s discuss is just fluff as well. When I said I was moving out because of the rate increase they didn’t even try to keep me as a customer. They said that was the rate and there was nothing they could do. But I guess I could have just went online and rented the same unit for $170 less at this place. But there was nothing you could do. . . Right!?!?! I guess they don’t mind the turn over. What loyalty to your customers. Oh and I love how they ask you to leave a review when you sign up. This is because you don’t realize your going to get shafted in a few months so you leave them a great review. They did this to me and I originally left them a great review when I first moved in. They do this so that the bad reviews get buried by all the great reviews from the new customers. They are worth the 1 star for a clean facility but that is it. Don’t fall for the scam and rent somewhere else!!!

Now they posted their generic response to call them. For what??? Im already gone. It goes to show you everything I said is true as they did not deny it based on their original response. Rent somewhere else!!!

Excellent! Sam was efficient, accurate and super helpful setting up my new unit. Had no idea that service at a storage unit would be important but I’ve leaned on him several times for assistance. Every time, he and his manager Michelle go above and beyond.
