As another review said, you get attitude if you call to ask anything. One morning I called and hadn’t realized it was a few minutes before they were supposed to open, a woman answered in an abrasive manner like I was a huge inconvenience and quickly put me on hold, for over 5 minutes, so I decided I’d call back when they were less “busy” or at least when there was someone in a better mood to talk to. But today specifically was the last straw in dealing with this school. Everyone’s time is valuable right? At least that’s how I feel. I called twice and spoke to two different staff members, making sure that if I came in with a return that they would accept it. I dropped a course and had two books that were new but had open packaging. One book had a code that the instructor had us sign into on the first day of class. I made sure to give the bookstore this information and both staff members I spoke to said it isn’t an issue as long as I get paperwork from the cashiers office saying I have dropped the course. So I spend my time acquiring the needed documentation. I drive to the campus and tell the staff what I had been told over the phone, they say I cannot return the books because the code has been used, despite the information I’d been given over the phone by two employees. I then informed them the person I spoke to on the phone had said to speak with the manager if I had any issues returning them. Well, by luck (I thought), the manager was walking out for lunch as I was speaking with the staff and they called her over. You could see she didn’t want to deal with this because she was on her way out. So I quickly got a response, no return. This leads me to believe that either one of two issues is happening, either you need to train your employees to be able to tell people correct information over the phone, or the school needs to get a new manager because she cares more about her time than the time others have taken out of their day to get to this ‘moment of inconvenience’ for her.

Worst part about COD, if you want to feel like you got nothing done at all I highly recommend stopping by here. I went in when it was completely dead but the cashier was gracious enough to add to the life draining atmosphere. Even with my thicker than Megan Thee Stallion glasses I can see crystal clear that the people here really do not enjoy their job. I’ve gone to this bookstore on multiple occasions and each time I hear more huffing, puffing, and grunting than I do at the gym with men cracked up on creatine.

The college student staff are very polite, but the older gentlemen are quite rude. I asked about a laptop order I had placed, and the man on the phone had a bit of an attitude about it. I was just curious since my order was delivered on Thursday the 25th (according to UPS) and still said "In-Transit" on the website. Figured it'd take a day or two to process -- so I decided to go in on Monday and it was all ready. Fast forward to today, the 31st, the order still hasn't been updated to "Fulfilled".

Convenient. Got books you need for class, stationary supplies, book bags, school swag, and candy. Everything slightly more expensive but when you need those gloves for lab it's worth it.Order ahead for stressless pickup.

The manager Justin seems to hate his job there. Every encounter I have with him makes me feel like I’ve disturbed him.

Their voicemail system says "we'll return your call in an hour or two," but they absolutely never return calls. Their processes seem disorganized and they are slow to give updates. One of the two people I dealt with there was also rude and condescending and seemed like he hated being there. Definitely will be buying/renting elsewhere next time.

One order of two workbooks and a textbook. First workbook was ready 3 days after class started, second workbook 2 weeks later, and still waiting on the textbook.

The College of DuPage bookstore, in the Student Resource Center, is well staffed with adept, speedy experts who know what they're doing. The layout is excellent with everything organized logically, plus bonus goodies if you're into the school spirit business, of course. I recommend ordering online and picking up in store for all your books and browsing for fun stuff in person.

Zero stars if I could. The lack of customer service and communication is ridiculous. Avoid this place if you can. I placed an order online and went in for pickup. I never got a confirmation email or an email saying the book is ready to be picked up. I went to the checkout desk and the guy working there was sooo rude. He wouldn’t let me speak and kept barking at me to give him my order number. Then once he found my book he gave me attitude and asked if I have an issue with it. Someone needs to get these employees under control. Will never come back unless I absolutely have to!
