“My wife had picked out a paint that was made by Sherwin Williams, so I went to their store first. Their people were cordial, but not great and they only sold samples in quart size or larger. I then went to your store in Naperville. I was instantly greeted by "hello, we will be right with you." Then I worked with Leslie who was great. The next day, I needed to come back and again was greeted warmly. This time I was helped by Jan, who like Leslie from the day before was extremely helpful. I was able to get the samples in sample size container, mixed exactly as I needed by Andy. My total experience, both days was fabulous. Needless to say, I will continue to make my purchases and have my painter make theirs from J C Licht. You are the BEST!Jack Ehlert”
“Several years ago, we painted our kitchen cabinets with Annie Sloan products we bought from Di Lucca Design. Michelle was helpful then in explaining the process in order to achieve the best results. After a while, and as can happen with any painted finish, we needed to touch up the "trash can" door which takes the most abuse. Since Annie Sloan is now manufactured overseas, there is apparently a slight color variation from the Coco color we originally used. Obviously, we called Michelle to ask what to do. Not only was she able to track down a sample size of the original formula, but she shipped it out to us without an invoice. Wow! If you're looking for Annie Sloan products or help/advise for your own projects, Michelle's your gal. Thanks Michelle taking such good care of us. We really appreciate it!”

“The Big Orange Box Store sold me paint 15 years ago.The leftover cans still had the paint code tickers on them.After 3 trips & attempts, The Big Orange Box Store was unable to match the color that they had sold me in 2010 – but charged me $50 anyway.1 trip to S/W on Meacham, and in 15 minutes, Dustin S. & Ken C. had me sorted out and on my way.Lesson Learned - Buy paint at a paint store, & this is a good one.”
“Aside from the fact that they have pretty much everything you need if you're making a small run to the hardware store and they've got some really premium lumber, but beside that they have one of the best cashiers I have ever encountered. He has joke after joke and is always smiles. He will literally brighten your day. He is one of the biggest reasons why I choose to come in to this ace versus going to any other hardware store. He really deserves a raise or some type of promotion or bonus.”

“I wish I knew that they can help you find paint to match your wall color earlier! I brought in a piece of paint taken off my wall, they have a system that will identify a matching color. It will be a customized color to match. I was shocked at how close it was! They even dried it with a blow dryer to make sure it was a good match. Staff was very friendly. A quart of paint was $20, well worth not needing to repaint my whole wall to cover a few stains.”

Mike & Marten have been SO helpful in guiding us through supplies that we need, ideas for colors, and just overall nice guys with lots of paint knowledge (Mike actually paints on the side so he has a great understanding). “My installer, Alex, was GREAT! He called early to inquire if he could come early and that was great for me. He was very sincerely friendly and helpful, explaining everything about the window treatments and how they operate. He did all the work professionally and in a timely fashion. He cleaned everything well upon completion.I will request him to install all my future window treatments and I highly recommend him!”
“I bought tinted paint for my garage door. I asked Pedro if I could return the paint if I bought more of it just to be sure i have enough for the job and didnt have to go back for more if i fell short. He assured me that I can bring them back for a refund if i didnt use them. So I purchased 3 gallons instead of 2 gallons. I only used one gallon and went back to return 2 gallons. The Assistant Manager who was in the store at that time tells me tinted paint cannot be returned and Pedro is out of town and is not reachable. I had to eat the $90 extra cost. If I was told of the policy before, I would have maybe bought less and came back to buy more in case I fell short. Always ask for an email confirmation.Update: I had to change my review to a 4 star, just for the professional way this was handled by them. I promptly received a call from the Owner who listened to my case and acted promptly to rectify this.”
