“This was my first time taking anything to Lake City Cleaners on Oakton street in Evanston, and they were absolutely wonderful. From the greeting I received upon entering, to the service provided. I had 2 winter coats dry-cleaned, as well as having a tear in one of them repaired. The coats were handled with care and returned cleaner than when I purchased them new, and the repair was seamless!”

“Fine neighborhood laundromat. Lots of machines; very few out of service. Plenty of chairs inside and out (even a rocking chair!) and reading materials; blessedly NO television or music! Parking lot just outside.A mega-laundry is almost open just down the block, so I hope this place can hang on!”

They also have drop off box with your own personal bag, that has your label on it. You can drop off in the box label "drop off" for after hours. The seamstress is excellent!

“Convenient location and management keeps it neat and clean inside. Machines are immaculate and all appear to be in good working condition. Most are multi-load washers-- $4.75/3-load; $5.75/4-load and two are 6-load machines @$7.50. There's just one machine @$3 for a single load. Dryers hold three loads @ $.25/10 mins.
There are three different change machines to get the quarters for the machines, and even a few laundry products available for purchase. Plenty of chairs available if you choose to wait inside while your laundry is washing and drying.
It's quiet inside here today, I appreciate that no canned music is being played as in some laundromats.”
