Harry, one of the owners, is extremely helpful and always goes out of his way to assist with finding things. He’s super friendly and makes you feel welcome every time you stop by. His father is equally kind and approachable, making this market a warm and inviting place to shop.

“Taste threw a wonderful party for me and 20 friends on their patio this past weekend - they were more than accommodating, as they reserved the outdoor patio, catered a large charcuterie (that was extremely tasty!) and pulled four bottles of wine for us. Our server was kind and checked on us throughout the evening. BIG thanks to the Taste staff, as they made my birthday weekend all the more special. “This liquor store has a wide variety of Liquors, mixed drinks and pizza, their chicken tikka pizza is very good lots of spices and flavor and their drinks are much colder than Oakton liquors, but i say that Lyons Beverage Depot and Oakton Liquors are probably the only liquor stores to go to”

“Austin Liquor in Skokie is one of those super reliable neighborhood spots you end up going back to all the time. Quick stop on Dempster, easy parking in the lot, and you’re in and out in a few minutes which is honestly exactly what you want from a local liquor store.
The selection is really solid for a smaller store. Good mix of beer, wine, and spirits, and they usually have the basics plus a few nicer options when you want something a little better. Prices are fair, and the staff are friendly and helpful without hovering. It has that old school local feel where they recognize regulars and actually care about the customers.
Coming from around Skokie it’s just one of those dependable spots you know you can count on before a dinner, game night, or last minute run. Nothing flashy, just good service, solid selection, and an easy neighborhood vibe that keeps you coming back. 🍻”

“I don't drink just went with my roommate to pick out some liquors. Just a FYI for the business for someone that has never been in that store or doesn't really know what they are looking for. I asked myself how would I know what is what as the isles and the location of the different drinks are not displayed to make it easier for you to find or potentially have an idea about where to look unless you been in there before or you ask an associate. And sometimes people may not want to ask, for other personal reasons. But just was a thought. However the looking experience was outrageously crazy to see all that liquor. Never even knew that the options were so broad to choose from.”

“I know it's silly to rate a binnys but honestly this one is the best. Their wine buyer is brilliant. I have been going to different binnys buying two specific wines. This was the first binnys to keep them in stock bc they noticed someone was coming in to buy them! Even though it is a bit out of the way for me, I will keep coming back”
