“I happened upon this treasure of a place while walking today . It's everything an antique should be: interesting and unusual merchandise, reasonable prices. an affable owner and Sophie , his charming dog .”
“Oh my, just go in! The owner is incredible, welcoming, so helpful. I felt like I had a private shopping experience. This was my first time, after passing the shoppe monthly. My advice, treat yourself and enjoy! 😊”
“Incredible shop with tons of different jewelry and Chachkis. Reasonably priced and decent enough service, too. You could spend hours going through this stuff. Also had some clothes with a dressing room in the back. Would 100% recommend and would come back again.
The only two things I’d say weren’t great was the parking situation and the space inside, bc the lot is very small and the fact that it was a bit crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon, which is understandable. I read that there was another lot across the street, but it’s a pretty busy intersection, so fair warning.”
“I went today to pick up some insect display cases that were posted on Facebook marketplace and ended up leaving with a bunch more treasures. The shop owner is super nice and everything is super reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back!”
“Loved the good vibes in this cute and well curated vintage shop. The owner has an amazing selection of scarves, high quality shoes ? dresses, shorts, skirts and jewelry here. I even saw some lovely handbags ? and the ailes are well organized.
The owner is extremely friendly and we had a great conversation. It's definitely worth your time to visit here and everything is fairly priced for the quality you receive.
I even found a very cute pair of retro vintage denim shorts. Next time I think I'll spend a bit more time here and hunt for shoes.”
“Such a lovely boutique with the most unique pieces! There are many independent designers represented in the store, and you can tell by the variety and quality. Lots of cute shirts, pants, accessories, handbags, home decor, and more!”
“Stopped in while visiting the area and it was a pleasant experience. Bill is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable of the pieces at the shop. We will definitely be looking out for items on the Instagram page.”
“Looking forward to another visit soon! The team at Turn the Tables in Northbrook were very accommodating and helpful. We bought a bulky piece of furniture; they quickly labeled unique parts for easy reassembly and suggested another place nearby where we might the find other items we need.”
“Absolutely love the Shop from the attentive staff and volunteers, to the amazing window displays, from the great selection of clean, quality clothing that I am saving from a landfill to the important mission. So glad to have the shop in town.”
“I have gone to Lake Forest Lamp since it started in downtown Lake Forest and she always has the most beautiful lamps and shades. Plus, she can fix anything and all her inventory is very high-quality.”
“Awesomely beautifully wholesome and cozy. Abundantly charming! Come by! Hidden gem for a reason but also with a big heart. My daughter loves the magic wonders and lower level treasures and jewelry”
“The pictures shown were different from when I went. The store was quiet but some people are just shy and timid. I tired on a few items but unfortunately didn’t fit correctly. I did buy a paper link chain that I was trying to learn more about. The jewelry was my favorite to browse.”
“Fantastic selection of curated and vintage items. Dozens of leather belts, cowboy boots, plus sizes, jewelry, purses, and more. Huge variety since it’s a consignment shop! I can’t wait to come back.”
“This place is an absolute gem ! The volunteers here are incredibly nice and helpful. I am thrilled with everything I have purchased here. Everything is clean and in great condition. I got some unique holiday gifts here as well as a hall tree that completes my entryway perfectly. Their website is very up to date so you can shop online and go pick up. Fabulous.”
“Nice place with very wide range of selection from picture frames to ice skates to stationary to electronics and clothing and bags and so much more! great place for everything!”
“A ton of well-organized interesting finds.Hint would be if you do see something that you think you like I would go ahead and purchase it for the low price because of left even overnight it might be gone the next day...”
“Always professional and courteous. It’s my favorite place to shop. I have the very Best Buy’s here. I have been shopping here for about 6 years and still find the best textures and price💗❤”
“After reading some of the extremely negative reviews, we almost skipped going here after getting our car serviced. But we rarely get to Evanston so we decided to make a day of it. They have 20 times the amount of collectibles as my usual store and those displays showed a lot of care and thought.
Unfortunately, this started to deteriorate as we made our way down to other shelves, which became haphazard and rather messy. Compared to the SA in Arlington Heights, this store is very impressive. This store is also 100 times better than the incredibly run down SA that was in Skokie or the old one that was in South Evanston. But their shoe selection was surprisingly meager.
One small gripe - two massive racks of clothing were completely blocking several rows of piles of toys higher up. I didn't buy anything simply because I didn't need anything, but next time I am in the area and have time, I will definitely return. BTW: I have a very sensitive sniffer and nothing offended me here, as I read in one review.”
“I loved stopping in this afternoon. Annie was so lovely and was so helpful. She gave the best advice and helped me with anything I needed. I definitely will be back again when I am in the area!”
