The Home Depot in Bloomingdale is far better than the Home Depot in Carol Stream.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The management appears to truly care about their team. I've personally witnessed two moral building activities by management at this location. Happy employees leads to positive customer experience.
The store is always clean and I can find people to help me when I have a question.
When I use the curbside pick up the employees always great me warmly, some even engage in friendly conversation. I have called management on two occasions to express how positive my experience their store has been. Once the manager said he was going to buy lunch for the employee I spoke of.
Other Home Depot locations are closer to me, but I go to Bloomingdale Home Depot for the customer service.

Came in during my lunch to buy few lightbulbs because website said you have 6 in stock (4-packs). Asked associate for help but he seemed lost so he asked his female coworker for help. She looked around and said there weren't any. When I told her website showed 6 in stock, she said there was nobody working in electric today. I asked to call someone extra to help look for it or at least climb on the ladder and check upper shelves - she just walked away and never came back.

You're better off finding your life sold and a graveyard than help at home Depot nobody around nobody Go people somewhere else where they can actually help you with something

My 78yo immigrant father asked an employee near the registers for help yesterday and she completely ignored him. My dad is a senior who speaks little English and has never used a self-check-out register before, because he moved back to Poland 11 years ago and they’re not common there. Since all the registers are self-check-outs, he had no choice but to try but he needed help. The fact that the person whose JOB it is to help people at the register would *literally* turn her back on a senior citizen asking for help absolutely infuriates me. Eventually, after my dad stood there for a while, unsure of what to do, someone took pity on him and partially helped him. He had to figure out the rest on his own. I’m not even surprised—Home Depot employees often seem deeply inconvenienced when asked for assistance, but this was truly extreme. I guess I need to make sure to accompany him on every shopping trip while he’s visiting, since I can’t trust your employees to act like human beings, let alone do their jobs.
