There are certain types of businesses I don't usually review. It's not because it was bad or good. It is more that it may not be an exciting or sexy review. We had a few bad experiences at Chase Banks over the past few weeks trying to find a notary. Branches we went to either didn't have one, or they were too busy even to acknowledge we were there. This branch was very different. They have 12 bankers who are also notaries, and half can do medallion guarantees. They saw us immediately; the banker was extremely nice and helped us get everything we needed done. A nod to the banker - David. If you are a Chase Banking customer, this is where I recommend you go. If you need a banker, and not simply a teller, I found this branch to be the best of all that I have seen.

If I could give Chase Bank zero stars I would. What kind of bank doesn’t take change?! Correct me if I’m wrong… isn’t it still acceptable currency? I tried cashing in my nephew’s change jar just for them to suggest I go to Jewel and get a gift card. I’ll be looking for another bank to do business with post haste.

I met with 2 personals and they both had no idea what the main branch needed for me to open a college account. I am a busy college student! I can’t keep going back and forth for you to have all the information you need! But i did anyways because my end goal was to open an account. So i got them the same documents that they said they didn’t need in the beginning and waited for 1-2 weeks just for them to tell me that my account is closed and the personal told me to “go somewhere els and open one.” This is so embarrassing for them! How can you shoo your customers out?I’m never working with chase again! I was gonna invest in them! They just lost the most loyal customer! It’s a college account! Hiw d*** can u be? Even toddlers have a bank account!

I went to this branch to open up a business account a couple months ago (I already have a personal account with Chase). They told me to wait and that they would assist me, but I ended up waiting around 30 minutes and still no one had checked on me, so I ended up leaving and going to a different branch. Terrible service here.

I want to thank Ivan Fernandez at the Pfingsten branch for his understanding and outstanding servive. After weeks of phone calls, mailings, in-person transactions, online banking messages, and a cancelled in-person meeting : no one perceived the issue with my accounts or directed me to the appropriate department ("I can't do that" is not an adequate or service-oriented response).

This chase bank now has a walk up ATM that is super high tech but easy to use. They have also started to replace their drive up ATMs with more modern ones. I have exchanged foreign money here and gotten it within two days. Every banker and teller I have encountered has always been helpful, friendly, and very easy to work with. Convenient, quick, overall great bank.

Where can you open a checking account, receive no checks or debit card, and then have your banker never pick up the phone when the paperwork he gives you doesn't match your account? The Chase branch at Plaza del Prado, that's where. With the least-bad Yelp reviews in the area, this branch was a logical choice for opening accounts using bonus coupons periodically issued by chase.com. Before securing my business, the banker who opened my accounts was charming and solicitous. He chatted about 20th-century Chicagoland and about that bank-fraud classic, Catch Me If You Can. Well, you can't catch him, or anyone at this branch, on the phone if a problem arises, even if you've just deposited a 5-digit sum in its coffers. Once they've secured your business, the service at this branch is breathtakingly bad. That's really saying something, because my other checking accounts are fee-free online ones opened and maintained for years without any interaction with humans. Schwab, Capital One (RIP ING), Ally, Discover, Amex, Fidelity, etc. all manage to issue checks and debit cards without hassle. They can respond to questions via chat or secure message. They pay bonuses and even decent interest on checking, let alone savings. At Chase, my allegedly "Premier Plus" checking came with none of those things and instead required a time-sensitive gauntlet of activities from me. However, my banker had given me documents for a different kind of account with completely different requirements. Incredibly, chase.com has no chat feature for resolving such alarming problems. When my debit card and checks finally arrived--with no word or effort from anyone at this branch--a full month after the accounts were opened, they were followed by my corrected documents. These came in two thick packets of printouts mailed separately, rather than PDF files uploaded to my account as requested. This result took 14 secure messages at chase.com and many hours talking on the phone to Chase reps and their supervisors, whose profuse apologies exhorted me not to "have a bad impression of Chase Bank." Well, if they were so worried about my having a bad impression, then they shouldn't have made such a bad impression. Chase offers lucrative bonuses and particularly attractive credit products. These are almost worth putting up with the spectacularly awful service of this Chase branch.

Their drive-thru ATM machines load so slow. I had to try to deposit cash 3 times because it wouldn't recognize my bills. I've noticed a guy using the machine next to me was having a hard time with it too. Worst Chase ATM I've ever encountered. The staffs should really get someone to fix them.
